    I've had one of these for a couple of months and I'm quite impressed. I used it to sand both sides of a pair of oak gates (each 6' x 6' ) and it made a good job of it on one 5 a/h battery. Mine seems a bit noisier than yours though!

    • @Karaon
      @Karaon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i found mine noisier too, its wired tho. Somtimes its loud enough to make me wear ear protection when I know it will take longer than just a minute or two.

    It’s a decent sander but when we ran it along beside Makita 18v sander we definitely preferred the Makita. Not what I thought since the DeWALT feels so good in the hand. Good video.

    Hi, great video! I don't suppose you know of an adapter that will hook it up to a festool extractor?

    • @kerolification
      @kerolification 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a tapered adapter for Dewalt's 'airlock'. Unless you can 3d print, you won't find any Airlock > Cleantec adapters.

    Painter and decorator.
    I've had one since they came out about 2 years ago. Very good sander, which became my go to sander. Drawbacks are that you can't get in corners or up to a vertical edge. Also the cost of the sanding discs can work out pricey at times. I normally get about 40 minutes on a 4ah battery. I have since bought the ¼ sheet version (which i night from amazon usa, for half the price) which is now my go to sander. Although the dust collection isn't a good, you can get in corners and up to edges as well as plain mouldings and skirtings. Also you can use the rolls of scratch that work out much cheaper. Battery use is about the same. Had this version been out first i wouldn't have bought the random orbit sander which is more of a bench tool.

    • @MaxCherry4170
      @MaxCherry4170 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you use it with an extractor? Really want something with better dust extraction than the Makita version which seems to blow dust out more than collect it!

    • @6panel300
      @6panel300 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MaxCherry4170 yes if I'm working indoors and I quite a bit of sanding to do. If I'm outside or just doing a little sanding I prefer not to use an extractor as it reduces the portability and extremely quick at up time without.

    Dust port seems a bit of an afterthought, but with the battery in the way what can you do 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I have 18V batteries, can I use them for a 20V MAX tool?

    • @SkillBuilder
      @SkillBuilder ปีที่แล้ว

      They are the same batteries. American's describe 18 volt as 20 volt because that is the peak voltage for all of 2 minutes

  • @SqwarkParrotSpittingFeathers
    @SqwarkParrotSpittingFeathers 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It says on the spec that the rotation is between 8,000-12,000 per minute. Yet, clearly (he says) the disc doesn’t rotate at that speed. Am I missing something? The motor sounds like it’s going round at a high rate but not the pad.
    I also guess that if it was rotating at 12,000 times a minute it would take off. Even at a low setting of 8,000 revs the pad would spinning 133 times a second. No way it is spinning at that rate. Am I correct?
