Bulls Gap is my hometown and my mom still lives there. Fun fact: The Campbell family and Pinkston family were friends. Archie taught my great uncle to play the banjo.
My husband had a Lionel train set, we fixed it up and gave it to our son. It’s 60 plus years old. It was my husband’s as a child. Our son puts it around the Christmas tree for his sons. They sit for hours watching it go around the tree.
We’ve been to Yoder’s many times. It’s a must stop place for us when we got to Bulls Gap to visit Tony’s family. Be sure to check out the corn meal that they have. It’s my absolute favorite so I try to stock up when I’m there. 😊
What a cool train museum.. kind of reminded me of the Adams family when they would play with their trains and then blow it up… Does Winston ever bark? Lol he’s so chill can’t believe those buildings were so close to the tracks! Holy smokes how noisy that must have been
Been thinking of you, Mike, and Karen!! Keeping you folks in my daily prayers for safe journeys!! Prayin for the Southland after these terrible storms! Much Love, annd Respect! Jim❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🫵🤗🙃🙏🙏🙏
My daddy had an old train set. I don't know where it went, it was upstairs at my grandmas house. I love old trains and when I see them it reminds me of how much my dad loved trains. I also remember watching lots of HeeHaw growing up haha
Talk some trains, when I was about eight Santa brought me my first train. Figure 8, smoke came out the smoke stack don't remember about a whistle. I do have trains even today at my age, just always loved them. Bulls Gap, great place and very friendly people. I'd like to tell Karen , you have one of the most beautiful smiles and eyes that carry a lot of love and caring. Ok, Mike, you cook great smash burgers plus great driver and love everyone, well, both of you do. Hugs for Winston, Drive safe, always.
We travel from Mississippi to Maryland several times a year and we always stop at Yoder’s going and coming. They are also generous to allow us to overnight in their parking lot.
Oh I wish I knew you were there. I live about 3 minutes from the museum. We moved to Bulls Gap from Wisconsin 3 years ago. Would have loved to meet you.
My husband used to have a train set he would bring out at Christmas when we had a bigger house in Florida when he was in the Air Force, but our house back here in Ohio is to small for one.Our Youngest daughters husband worked for CSX railway in Maryland, Deleware and Pensylvannia for ten year but quit two years ago because he had no family time. Both my grandfather worked for the railway here in Ohio back during the second worls war and my husband grandfathers did as well.
For some reason my brain went trekkin and wondered if sam "hee haw" wainwright from its a wonderful life got his name because of the hee haw show. Lol looks like you have had a good week!
Yoders sammiches are top notch!! Can't go to a museum around here without there being a still in there. The rest of the country probably thinks we sit around sipping shine all day.....SMH....LOL

I love to go to Yoder's. I always leave with way too much.
So good
I think one of my favorite things about traveling is the people you meet along the way. It’s wonderful hearing their stories
I love Bulls Gap & Yoder's. ❤️

My husband has had several layouts since he was 10. He’s in his 60’s now. He has raised our son to love trains just as much as he does.

I’ve been to Yoder’s many times. In fact, I got their banana pudding instead of a birthday cake. YUM!
Bill Haskins is the guy in the overalls. He works in the railroad museum. I know him like a brother. He is a good guy. ❤️
