You guys always connect with the meaning of the lyrics pretty quickly and that’s something I love about this channel! I think one thing about this song that should be noticed is how the mood shifts as the song progresses. The first time he sings the chorus, he’s confidently singing “YOU. WILL. BE. MINE”, then towards the end of the song, it turns into a more desperate “you will be mine” along with “did you not say we were made for each other?”. It almost paints the picture of this failed relationship, where the other person has moved on, but vessel is still trying to tell himself they’ll end up together. This is what he meant by “born to believe” in the bridge. Also, “I have waited, paralyzed by my own will” I interpret as him waiting for her to come around to the idea of them being together again, and until then he’s kind of stuck in this “waiting” state I thought that was really important to point out, because this theme will continue throughout the whole album. This is a 10/10 album and my favorite of theirs. I can’t wait to see your journey reacting to it! By the way - loved the silent planet reaction too, any sleep token or silent planet you guys react to I’ll watch instantly!

Enjoy your reactions and analysis! I’ve always thought his partner died and that’s why he writes such lyrics (car crash, unattainable connection, Eden). Or that they lost their child. But part of the lore is not being sure and just enjoying their art 🙌
You guys are so silly with each other and we're all here for it, lol! I interpret this song more like a verbal affirmation, Vessel keeps repeating You Will Be Mine like if he says it out loud and often then he's putting that out into the universe to make it a reality. That's just my humble opinion.
This is one of my favorites off this album. How the music swells and Vessel's voice coming in, gah, sounds like an orchestra for real. The next song it took a bit for me to like it, but after seeing it performed live changed my opinion on it 😅. Now I REALLY like it. 😂 Was glad they performed it when I saw them this past May. Worship ❤
Love watching you guys because I went through a lot of mental rabbit holes with the lyrics and each thought process would make me appreciate the music that much more. For example, DYWTYLM off the latest album, I imagined him looking at himself in the mirror and saying the words to himself and it changed the dynamic of the song for me.
So I'll throw out another theory about all these awesome songs. What if he is singing about a umm let's call it an unalive try on himself. He sings of water and drowning in it alot, along with scars and self harm. The person he is changes from song to song. Sometimes being the dark part of himself, sometimes being the light. In the song Dark Signs he opens the song with a line saying "where I was raised there were no street lights, just pitch black." In the song Are You Really OK he opens with the lyrics "I raised you in the dark". Could this be split personalities speaking with one another? In DYWTYLM he mentions becoming different people and how it's getting harder to be himself while also speaking into a mirror. Lots of other references that reinforce this between songs including subatomic interactions, atoms stop fusing lyrics spoken. I could go on. Anyway something to keep in mind. It's all beautifully and masterfully written to paint a picture individually and pieced together as well.
You guys are coming up in my favorite song, "fall for me" the official video is amazing, and there is a live version of it from layfette as well. Highly recommend both videos (it's literally a 2 min song)
And tbh I recommend watching twice - once for the initial listen and lyrics, the second one to catch all the flashes of other text on the screen. It adds so much pain to the song.

He missed his opportunity OR he's paralyzed by his own will to not go forward with it now. I feel like later in the album it implies that there's someone else taking the role he wanted and he's trying to respect it.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who pictures old arcade games when I hear Sleep Token. Sonic the Hedgehog especially for some reason.
the emotion he conveys in the last few seconds as his voice fades always grabs me deep.

Sleep Token are extremely progressive their songs are not structured like typical pop songs more like pieces of art
