Jersey shore is awesome. It’s just too crowded all the time. I work down cape may all the time, down at the lighthouse. Summertime is a nightmare. I tried to do some surf fishing on lunch the other day and couldn’t get a spot because there were soooo many people fishing.
Great job Capt Chris. Nice way to spend a day off. Bigger little boat or sell the big boat... Hmmm. Seems like changers are coming for the reaper crew. Best of luck Capt.
Hi Chris and Alana. Joe and I always love your videos!! We look forward to new ones. Nice to know someone is catching! We’ve had a bad season. And now that school is back we’re super busy dealing with the school bus driver shortage. That a whole story for another time. Joe said he’d be interested in buying your old little boat when you’re ready to get your new one. We use a ‘68 13’ whaler, we’re looking for bigger little boat too. Lol maybe your good juju will rub off!!! 🤣🤣 in case you forgot we met you in AC while getting our generator repaired/then replaced. 😳
Unusuall to be out there in the afternoon with no wind. You picked a nice day. I’ll be hitting the Mullica for Stripers. It’s the season. The REAPER needs some TLC! Great vid.
Thanks so much Mike! When we blew that last gasket we had tons of exhaust blowing into the Engine room creating soot. That sucked up into the turbos and the aftercoolers I believe so we are losing boost. Basically I don't think we are getting enough cool, oxygenated air into the cylinders to produce the power and speed we typically see. Hopefully i'm correct. I'm nowhere near a mechanic.
Not much honestly. In years past we'd have excellent croaker fishing in 40-60 ft on our local lumps. I haven't tried that in a few years. they are fun to catch and delicious to eat. Typically I don't really target the spanish after the fluke season/summer season is over, but that being said I'm sure they can be caught as long as the bait is there and the water temp is warm enough usually this time of year I'm dedicated to tuna and sword fishing and all my spare time is dedicated to such. I do enjoy catching spot for live baits this time of year and that keeps my fishing fire stoked when the wind blows. Mid October I will also play catch n release on tog up on the sod banks/bridges/etc.
I fish north of you and usually troll the Manasquan & Barnegat Ridges as well as various other unmanned lumps and hills……..I always have done much better trolling either #1 or #2 Clark spoons..have probably caught 50% less on the #3 or 4s. I’ll also vary the size of the drail or egg sinker I’m fishing so they ride at different depths of the water column.
Great video, looked like you had a blast out on solo run, and so excited over the Spanish Mac. If you haven't seen these guys, look up "Joey Antonelli" "Movin Weight Fishing" or Capt Matt Budd, they're just down the coast from me and all 3 will do commercial videos on the Spanish Run and King Mac fishing, it's worth the watch. Keep up the good work, stay safe.
Great video Capt. I was unsuccessful in getting any spanish macks this year. Too bad as i think they are one of the best tasting fish (cooked or raw) that come to our area.
Chill video man. The kind that reminds me why i love fishing. You just never know when you stumble on a spot. Even if you don't when its just nice being on the water.
YESSIR! Love it! Great to see another slayer fluke and other species video. I'm grinding for my last few keepers myself now at the end of the season. Keep some doormats comin', Chris!
Great video Chris! The fluke season has been pretty good up here in NY. This season I have 22 keepers. We usually never get bonito or Spanish, but we have plenty of blues.
I’d recommend a torium 20/30 instead of that avet reel with the shot clicker. Best reels in my opinion for the use. Great drag and line capacity and the clickers are awesome.
I got a little friend there - that’s Bill. Love it. I’ve been there before.
Ha!!!!
Always the best videos. Thanks Chris!
Thanks so much Michael!
They better be Jersey tomatoes! Hey, where's the Jersey corn!
I'm slacking!
Thanks for the video great job
You're welcome Duaine. Thanks so much for watching!

Great video. Looked like a fun day out on the small boat.
Thanks so much Kevin
SUPER PUMPED!!! Great video

Excited to have a new video to check out after dinner !

Great job Capt Chris. Nice way to spend a day off.

Thanks so much for watching Brian. We aren't sure what the heck we are gonna do. A 43 footer is a lot of time and money!!

Great video what size boat were you on.
Thanks so much Matt. 18 feet
Pretty work Capt! That E tec is a ripper. Love the content.
Thanks so much!! The E tec has been great so far
Be ready for a bluefin. I've gotten 6 at the reef this year to 80lbs and 3 25lb mahis plus 100s of chickens. And it's always dead. Till it isn't lol.
Smoked blues in lemon pepper is our favorite in Wildwood Crest.. Taking a charter out tomorrow morning for Tog. I’ll let you know how they do!
Hope you got em
Also got a 22 inch flounder 5 days too late!
@@tracynshea1333 We usually get our biggest ones either winter sea bassing or live baiting stripers!
Great video Chris! Man that looked so tasty I was getting hungry watching at 11:00 PM.
Ha. Thanks Joe
9k super pumped for you
Getting there!

Yea it was crazy Dennis. We are working on Reaper as we speak. I'd love to eek out 1-2 more tuna trips but not likely
Try talking to captain Eric Kerber from on a mission fishing has a killer smoked blue fish recipe
aww damn i missed you at the AC boat show, was there looking at the sea hunts with my family. I'll be at the lakewood show this weekend tho!
Ahh bummer Nick
I always enjoy your videos! What's broken on the big boat?

The boat show in Lakewood ?
AC BOAT SHOW
Try damp paper towel next to onion next time you cut one up. Eyes won't tear up.
Thanks so much Chris!
Did you get a new boat?
We got a new smaller boat. I'll be posting the reveal video next week I think
@@reaperfishingnj8623 congratulations
What size is the "little boat"? and do you remember what the winds were on this day? Big Evinrude Etec fan by the way.
Maycraft 1800 skiff. so 18 feet. the forecast for this day was light E winds 5-10.
Did you call the seagull bill or Phil because I have o e at the marina I keep my boat at that I always feed and I call him Phil 🤙
i call all of em Bill!!!
All boats break hang in there, I had fuel issues on and off for 1/3 the summer this year.
Darn right they do. Thanks for watching.
The bottom of that kayak.. marone..
Lb line that you use?
this was probably 20 pound braid
The season is always too short. Tight lines bud.
sure is
Sounds like you keep your engine running while on the wreck?
not always. this day it was a really short drift and I didn't need the trolling motor. just easier to keep it running
@@reaperfishingnj8623 cool. Didn't know if you kept it running to make sure you can get home!!
What inshore fish besides blues are worth going after in the AC area once fluke closes? Are there still spanish around?

I wanna know what the new rod was too
He called it a OTI jigging rod and then posted next video

I watch Joey Antonelli sometimes. He lives right where I went to college and does a lot of the same fishing I used to do back then.
