    Thanks again Ted! Wonderful reaction to my request. Thank you!!!!! 😊❤❤
    Farnsey never ever phones it in, no matter what the age, he gives you a show! And I think you could hear clearly how his voice never faltered - he sounds just as good in the latter clip as the first despite the fact that they are nearly 30 years apart!! Gotta love The Voice! 😍🤩
    Can't wait for the other double comparison video when you get to it in the list, hopefully the links came through okay, let me know if not 😉
    Thanks again Ted and to all the lovely people in the chat. Take care everybody and I hope to catch you again soon🙏 🤗💗💗

    The Keytar in the solo is a Yamaha KX5, which is a remote synthesizer keyboard. It has a pretty unique combination of a keyboard, programmable effects buttons, pitch slide, tone and volume levers and a breath control unit. David Hirschfelder used it the whole time he worked with John - both in LRB and on solo tours.

      I think that was the most fun iv seen him have on stage. He was fully loving the moment. In the second one you could see in his face he was in the moment. The crowd were enjoying it just as much. Great to see. Thank you again for watching ❤️❤️

    Ok, comment on the first performance. You know it’s going to be great from the start for two main reasons, obviously no1 is because it’s John and 2 it was requested by Annie. What a performance, so much energy from everyone, especially John, jumping around like the energizer bunny. What a vocal showcase, that belting range was so powerful and endless, if you didn’t see it and hear it you wouldn’t believe it. Also all the other musicians on stage were all having so much fun, I love seeing great musicians enjoying what they do best and all of this band are top tier. And David on the Keytar and what ever that whistle he was blowing was awesome. I remember when this song first came out it was huge, even dj’s in the clubs and discos were playing it, what a time to be alive. And I don’t know whether John ever did any martial arts but he is such a ninja with that mic stand, so great to watch. Now I’ll watch no2.

    • @BluntTedTalksMusic
      @BluntTedTalksMusic  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yeah i was impressed with the tricks he was doing with the mic stand and mic, he had a lot of energy and was having a lot of fun. I love seeing john live and also watching everybody else on stage. They all get their moment.
      I think going off another comment the thing he was blowing was connected to the keytar, apparently its also a wind instrument. His performances are just amazing to watch.
      Thank you for watching and also thank you for your comment ❤️

      Would be great to hear him sing again. Iv tead hes been singing around the house which makes me happy that hes at least able to do it for himself and hopefully at some point h is able to perform. Even if is just a one off or even just an appearance somewhere for a song it would be amazing. But understandable if not

  • @beresfordthompson1370
    @beresfordthompson1370 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

    Now the 2nd one. Obviously this wasn’t a great audio on this video it was still great to see. John being going on 70 years on here was still incredible, most vocalists that belt out the vocals so powerfully like John does, usually find they damage their voices (blow their voices out), but not John, even at this age he could still get up their in his vocal range which is incredible and still be able to belt it out like that. And being about 70 the physical energy has obviously slowed down but still an amazing performance and I can imagine just singing the way he does and moves under those conditions with the heat from the lights and everything would be so physically draining on the body. Still an outstanding and highly entertaining performance by all, and band still incredible. Thank for doing this one Ted and thanks Annie for the request.

    • @BluntTedTalksMusic
      @BluntTedTalksMusic  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Yes thats very true even tho not moving as much he was still putting in the same amount of energy, possibly more so. The way he is able to hit the notes is mindblowing, most artists the same age are no longer able to perform live and when they do they sound not great but not john. He just got stronger.
      Thank you again for watching and for your reply. I appreciate it massively ❤️

      @ all good and thank you for supporting John and other Australian artist and allowing people who haven’t experienced the superiority of John Farnham to be amazed at what he is capable of. Looking forward to more from John here, especially the younger years and LRB. He did some great early stuff mainly covers but made them his own, like “bridge over troubled waters” and the Harry Nielsen classic “without you”(also covered very well by Mariah Carey”), just to name a couple.

    Just about all the band including backing singers joined his band and never left. lol I loved this reaction comparing both performances. At nearly 70 he still has that magic....but would have been having some probs with his jaw etc due to that bloody growth which he though was just a bad tooth. I have just listened to the 1st chapter of his book on audio...and I think you'd love to hear him talk about his early life in London before he & his family migrated to Australia. Hope you're well Ted...loving this channel.

      Iv just read this is just before he was diagnosed and was his last performance which is very sad to read. Not sure who said this 2018 video was his last performance, it actually wasn't. This was part of the Red Hot Summer Tour in early 2018, his last performance was 2 years later in February 2020 for the charity event Fire Fight - the You're The Voice with Brian May and Olivia Newton-John is his last ever performance. Been reading into the instrument this morning. Id seen before but never really knew what it was. If this video/song is anything to go by he deserved the awards

    That was a cameo he hadn't sang for years
    This was for charity and he's last performance
    It was only a couple weeks later he was diagnosed with jaw cancer
    He complained to his wife about pain I his mouth
    John wasn't going to worry about it
    But his wife booked him in for check and rushed him in for operation
    If wasn't for he's wife insistants he probably wouldn't be here or the out come he got
    Unfortunately in that time he lost best friend manager Glen wheatley and only weeks later Oliver
    So very bad period for him and his family they lost to extremely close friend more like family and dealing with john's issue's
    It'll be the probably last time we'll hear him sing in public apparently sings around he's home regularly
    John follows he's boys music and attends them partly why he retired wantedcmore time with them
    I think John in 70s singing this others will correct anything I've got wrong as relying on memory
    Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍

      Thank you for the comment and for watching. I didnt realise was just before he got poorly. Makes it more emotional knowing was the last time he performed live. Was a sad few years with the death of his friend olivia as well. Would be great to see him perform again but very understandable if not and does seem quite unlikely. I guess as you said with his sons he would just want to spend time with loved ones now.
      Thank you again for watching and for your reply. ❤️from the uk

      @BluntTedTalksMusic Cheers all good like I said going from memory
      I bloody getting old so some haziness
      Yeah we where lucky someone in crowd recorded it
      Like his cover of led zeppelin black dog he used as warm up
      The sound guy was doing sound checks and though was amazing so taped it
      Otherwise no one would've know or heard and why no clip only music
      Again another great cover by him
      Just like his AC/ DC cover a long way to the top live with Melbourne symphony orchestra
      So you might like these as well

      Its great when people capture moments like that and am so grateful for sites like this where they can be shown of to the world. Imagine how much great music may of been lost over the years before cameras and websites. We take it all for granted these days but am very thankful for them. Il add that onto the list than you iv not heard that one yet.am a led zep fan so would be great to hear johns version

      I have no doubt you'll love it I'm led zeppelin fan as well
      We even have a band who calls themselves zep boys
      They play and sing all their songs and the band knows them praised them as well
      These guys are good but not a scratch on the original guy's
      They been travelling Australia for decade's singing their songs every year in my state
      Always packed out venue's normally big pubs of couple hundred and do shows for a week sold out
      So if led zeppelin came here they'd sell large stadium's out no problems

      Hi there thanks for your comment and for watching. I can do the third one on here but would be hard to do the other 2 again as a reaction as seen them before but i could do them all together as a breakdown video and watch them all few times before recording and discuss them in detail. Would take bit more planning so could add them to the list and get it up in few weeks. Best for the algo leaving few weeks between plus have some others in between but can defo do. Thanks again for watching and for your suggestion ❤️
