  • Using the Dingo Tx 427 for lawn renovation . This machine comes more powerful than this model. Both have a variety of attachments . Very easy to use gas machine , great for tight areas and smaller job sites ,strong but limited due to its size and could be a problem loading truck with its lack of height .

    This toro of dingos A really nice. I've got to use one earlier this year and it was pretty sweet. I want to get into more work like that eventually

    I rented one and it was not even able to scoop up dirt because there were brush roots. I spent 5 hours on a 20x30 foot area trying to grade it and never got it done. I could only shave about an inch at a time off the peaks without the tread slipping. It's also very bad at grading due to the short track base. I can't think of a reason to use this unless a larger tractor won't fit.

      Yea that’s really the only reason to use this if a bobcat won’t fit ! The more I use this machine the more discouraged I am by it also !

      I rented one from Home Depot trying to level my back yard for a shed , I had a 1 1/2 foot drop and this machine did the job, I had roots and rocks it cut right threw it all, only could go 2-3 inches at a time but worked just fine

    Can it lift a pallet of sod?

      Few different models in sure Dingo tx 1000 can , this one model possibly but almost doubt it

    My husband and I are looking at renting one of these from home depot to dig up our lawn. Our back yard is an L shape. Not small, but not huge either. Would you recommend this over a sod cutter? Just wondering whst would be the best bang for our buck.

      What kind of grass is it that you want to remove ?! This will allow you to move those pieces of sod that you cut out or this will cut out sod if careful, then you will use this to re level the area with new soil, this will bring in the new soil for you instead of wheelbarrows.

      @@ONPOINTEVERYTHING It's sod in our back yard. We have some trees whose roots came to the surface, and I honestly don't think the original homeowner put enough topsoil on the yard to begin with. I think this will be much easier to use to remove and dump than using a sod cutter and rolling up sod. I'm too out of shape lol. We're contemplating doing the topsoil ourself, but have discussed getting a couple quotes too just to save us the hassel. We'll plant the grass seed ourselves

    Hey buddy where can I get the stand on platform for a todo dingo! The same as yours!?

    Would this fit into a 1 door gate? I'm thinking if bucket doesn't I could disengage it and pull bucket in sideways? Unless bucket is same width as tracks.

    • @ONPOINTEVERYTHING
      @ONPOINTEVERYTHING  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Its overall length of 92 inches including bucket and width of 33.7 inches allow it to work in the tightest places and easily pass through a standard 36-inch gate

    Curious but for a beginner/novice who has never operated one of these, how long would you say it might take to excavate/grade around 4-5cu ft of dirt and then backfill the area with the same amount of roadbase?

    • @ONPOINTEVERYTHING
      @ONPOINTEVERYTHING  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey let me know if this helps depending on situations but 5 cubic yards removed and then RCA or base added it should take you about 3 -6 hrs I would believe.
      I am currently not using toro dingo as it has broken on me for light duty work and I was responsible to pay for the part which was 3,000 dollars by the rental company ….

    • @jplee3

      @@ONPOINTEVERYTHING thanks! Im currently doing everything by hand right now and it sucks but not sure if I should even deal with renting. Is there a specific brand/model you might recommend if the Dingo isnt the best option and prone to breaking? Our entry gate is probably 4-4.5ft wide so we can't get anything super big back there.

    • @ONPOINTEVERYTHING
      @ONPOINTEVERYTHING  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jplee3 anytime ! I’d say do by hand until you can’t or include price of rental and some in job cost for the customer to cover yourself in case anything happens . Shit happens though and I would say Vermeer is a solid company but everything breaks down eventually . Best option is save and buy your own machine but rent when you need to . I like to remove gate section so I can bring in bobcat when possible .

      im trying to find a used one. prices are ranging from $8,000-$13,000. Depends on age and whats included as far as I can see. Looks like you want to spend around $10,000 if you want a reliable one at least. I do believe new they are upwards of $35,000

    This machine is no good. Veermer has a stand up andcway more powerful than dingo. Dingo is made for light work.

      Yes since this video and others I have not used the dingo anymore even the 1000x broke on me at a job and I refuse to pay the part to the rental company and refuse to rent it again 😡
