In this video we are going to learn How to Trade the London Breakout with a super easy and simple trading setup.
The London Breakout strategy is pretty popular among Forex traders, the strategy could also be used in other financial markets such as stock, indices or even cryptocurrency markets.
We will back-test the strategy on Trading view, the London Breakout strategy on MT4 would have a similar setup. You are just advised to use a good MT4 indicator to highlight the different trading sessions.
We will back-test the strategy 100 times as usual with a small account of $100 and a reasonable volume size.

Hey in part 2 of this try using support and resistance and use h4 to know the direction h1 and min30 support and resistance for take profit and 15min for entry.....

@@danielnick9628 so most of the time before London secion price doesn't make big moves..so it's like small consolidation. You draw a box in the consolidation and if it breaks above take a long and vice versa. But you'll follow the trend

Yes! Pt 2 please!! I trade 2 variations of London Breakout profitably, but reversals get me sometimes. This looks like a good way to counter that. Also, please test all GBP pairs. I trade all, but only one per day per strategy. I try to catch the strongest runner of the day.

There must be variants of this strategy. I've seen videos where if the London price breaks above the Asian session range you go long and vice versa or use the 1st hour of the London session to set the ranges.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but according to the rules the 2nd trade setup example is incorrect. Price broke below the Asian Session Low, therefore it would be a Long trade, not Short.
In any case, I'm also all for the 2nd video on optimizing the strategy : )

I will test this on different reward to risk perimeters, it could be more profitable aiming for a 2 or 3 R as opposed to just 1.3
It's hard to get past 2R intraday using this strat unless you carry the trade for several days and the risk of the trade going against you goes higher as time decays and new information comes. If you put a really tight stop and catch the big trend you might be able to get past 2R but the volatility during the session will definitely hit you stop.

What if the london session break the AS session high or low and goes continuation with the same direction without retrace back to the mid area . Should we skip that trade for the day ?
Here comes the importance of the price action, we need to look at the candlestick pattern, how long is the body and tail, check the event calendar, the breakout will definitely occur that's the next step after the sideways phase.

Suggestion : Combine this technique with no loss hedge method will be more effective I think
You're spot on ! To pet you in on a little secret. I use the recovery zone method when trading GBP/JPY. It works amazingly well. But note that you account must be huge. Also you don't necessarily have to open the first trade with a standard lot size. Often times I started with a micro lot and just double from there. My recovery zone is 10 pips, TP-30 pips (but and sell). SL (buy sell) recovery zone (10 pips) plus TP of opposite side trades.
