We also changed our POSTING SCHEDULE TO WEDNESDAY rather than Fridays! As a full time college student, I had to make some adjustments! Hope you all enjoy!

Awe! I love seeing his progress!!
With the block command, I also use the same word when I ask him to be a barrier behind me, and then I use the back command when I ask him to walk backwards
I love seeing how patient you are with Astro! He’s come so far!!
It’s always so funny coming across people who are shocked to see dogs that actually listen 😂
I hope bringing Astro on the collage campus goes well for you in the future!! ^^
Hello Team Suki & Corny!! Always great to see you here! Campus and city life is definitely giving astro so much exposure to new things! Thanks for your support 🥰
Astro did so good especially with the new stuff and moving which explains why you haven't been posting but im glade your back ive missed the videos
Hi Laila! Good to see ya in the comments as always! Thanks for your support! 🥰
Astro is doing so well and I can tell you are dedicated to your training. One tip I might suggest as a rule of thumb, typically reward a dog for "come" as soon as they return to you. You dont want to have them do something else then reward because " come" will lose value. I learned this the hard way, I used to have my SD sit after " come" but i realized we need to have " come" be its own command that gets rewarded simply for being followed so it retains value.
I use a lure to create a sit or center behavior after the recall. It means I can get the behavior I was looking for, but not have to delude the recall.
Hi hi!! Thank ya for your tips! I definitely do reward him immediately for coming! I do want him to SIT after I call him just in case I need to hold onto his harness or if another dog is walking by! He seems to be okay with that! Every dog is different!! 🥰 thank ya tho, it means a lot! 🥰
I have missed your videos. All makes sense now that you didn’t post while your were moving. I always find it so funny when I run across people that are shocked my dog listens, or can be off leash in a loose heel position. They always ask how I got them to behave and I am like ‘well, my family started day one with this dog. We got her at seven weeks old and started working with her the morning after bringing her home. So she has had nearly a year now of training and reps of good behavior.’ They are always shocked. Lol. Great job for Astro on the block command also.
Awww Thank ya for your kind words Mira!! We’re back on schedule tho for Wednesday’s!! Thanks for sharing, I love reading about you and your dog!! It seems like you really care about training too!! 🥰🥰
Aussies are awesome.
That's all I'm gonna say.
Actually on second thought I think you are a great trainer, it's not just him
Aussies are awesome!! Awww thank you, that means sooo much to me 🥰! Thanks for your support :)
❤❤❤ cute dog 🐶🐕
Awh my dream dog is an Australian shepherd!!❤❤
They’re the best!! Hehehe such high energy loving babies!! 🥰🥰
Awhhh💗💗💗
great how he has all his attention to you :) fun to watch. Learn him to leave / ignore sticks and let go on command. That will make it easier.
Astro is doing so good!
Aww thank ya! Much appreciated 🥰
Dear Astro, It's fantastic to see you and your mom!!! I miss you guys so so much!!!!!!!
Awww we miss you too Aunt Chuyi!! 🥰🥰
I've come to really enjoy watching these videos of Astro and his journey through training. I'm taking home my own blue merle Aussie this weekend and im super excited, but also nervous since it'll be my first pup that is my responsibility. Thanks for uploading!
Awww thank ya Isaac for supporting our channel!! AHHH that’s sooo exciting about your aussie!! Keep me updated about your pup!! 🥰🥰
Thank you for destroying the stereotypes around aussies ! Any dog is a good dog with proper training ! Good job Astro ! Good job with the timing of your queues and rewards
!! Ofc!! All dogs are amazing dogs, I don’t believe in bad dogs! Thank you, love reading your comment! Brought me genuine joy :) ☺️☺️🥰
Awwwww hes progressing so well I'm so proud of him, I get it when you yell "come!" And they continue sniffing or stand there and stare at you, I get it %110, but all I can say is continue practicing and dont give up!! Other than that hes doing absolutely amazing!!!
Awww thank ya!! Practice makes improvement!! He’ll definitely choose certain scents or sticks over me but not when I have cheese! 😂😂🥰
I heard Aussies are not good at adjusting to change, but Astro is doing so well! ❤

Seems like he’s used to to the city well. Temple University I’ve heard good things about it. I hope you enjoy your semester
!! Yup, he’s adjusting soo well! Thank ya, can’t wait to finish school to truly focus on our channel!
@@AstroFromTheBlue how many years left of your degree do you have
I'm finishing up my last semester! graduating in the spring! :)
@@AstroFromTheBlue oh that’s exciting. When did you start bringing Astro with you this fall? And what are you getting your degree in
Astro is doing so well! It's so interesting to see how he understands so quickly what you want especially as he offers the behaviour "block" on his own 💪
It's so sad but true that people get so easily offended these days, so I think (to be on the safe side) it's a great idea to name it with "behind" maybe, if you don't have a similar command name like this.
And my service dog also choked so often at the beginning of our training because of over excitement 😅
Greetings from Austria 👋🇦🇹
Love seeing his amazing work! I've been waiting for a video to come out from you and Astro! Astro is doing amazing and I hope he gets his off leash privileges back lol!
Awww thank ya for your support! He got his off leash privileges back, but always working to improve our recall 🥰
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that you and Astro have truly been THE biggest support in my journey in training my own psychiatric service dog. It was always in the plans, but coming across your video was what gave me the courage to get started. I really learn so much from you and Astro.
I just have to vent..
My service dog Brie and I have been working every single day on training. Sometimes twice a day when she seems to have energy.
The other day, Brie and I went to Costco to train and ran into this woman who literally shook her head at me. She said something along the lines of “just because your dog can sit when told to doesn’t mean that she is a medically trained service dog”.
I was so upset… This woman doesn’t even know me…. I didn’t realize in the moment but what she said def affected me - it already takes A LOT for us to go out there and self train our service dog, without people being downright offensive.
Recently, Brie has been going through her heat cycle and has been reactive towards other female dogs. So I wanted to seek some help from a trainer. I paid her $125 for a one hour consultation. When I explained to her about me owner training Brie to be my service dog, she told me that it doesn’t sound like a service dog training to her and that service dogs should be going through an institution to be trained…..
Its just so frustrating how rude and ignorant people can be with this matter. Just wish they would all mind their own business.
Sorry for the rant, I just needed a space to vent and you and Astro were the first to come to my head.
Just want you to know that I think that Astro is truly doing so well and Brie and I are here to support you! ❤
Hi Michelle! Thanks for supporting our channel! Also, thank ya for sharing, I feel so honored that we were the first to come to your head to rant! It's definitely a safe space here, so feel welcomed to share/rant more!
I disagree with the trainer... most people don't have thousands of dollars to pay for training. I'm sorry that you have gone through negative experiences. I hope that you have more positive experiences when training in public! Thanks again for sharing. Good luck to you and Brie! 🥰
thank you for your kind words ♥️ just know that your videos give so many of us the courage to get out there and train for both the dog and the handler!
Keep doing what you’re doing, Astro’s doing amazing!
I was literally about to die if you didn’t post in 1 more day! Also, while you were gone me and my SDiT have started PA, can we get some tips? Also he dose so well!
Ik I'm not them I just wanted to say congrats on being able to go on PA outings, ik it's not easy!
Hiiii!! Awww thank ya for always supporting our channel!! You’re tooo cute! Ahhh that’s amazing that you and your SDIT are doing PA training!
Can you post a video on what you feed him, portions, etc?
Yes, I can! 🥰 thanks for the request!
I can’t remember which one but in one of your other videos, you’d given Astro some like frozen or refrigerated square Pattie’s……what brand was that?
!! It’s the Steve’s real food patty, he loves them sooo much! 🥰
I love watching you videos but I do have a question. I'm trying to train my dog to be my Psychiatric service dog and hes doing great! But could use some improvement. What videos\courses helped you and Astro?
Hi hi!! Thanks for your support! I honestly havent taken any courses, but I know that KIKOPUP on TH-cam is a great resource! Let me know if you find other channels!
Do you live on campus or off campus in student apartments?
Off campus! I'm just a few blocks off of campus!
why cant astro bite the stick? isnt it good for their teeth? they are spitting it back out
it's also a stress relief
Hi! Yes, I’ve seen horror stories of sticks getting stuck in their teeth, breaking their teeth, or splintering in their organs. It’s more of a safety precaution
