    Holland has a similar mount called "Pyramid of Austerlitz" near the city of Utrecht. It was built in 1804 in only 27 days by Marmont's boys.

    Thanks for posting this. I am a little concerned about climbing those very steps myself when my dear wife and I visit in May!

      There's no doubt it is challenging. All I could say is take your time. Be happy to let folks overtake you. It is well worth it once you are up there. I hope it's not too hot on the day you are there David. Thanks very much for watching and commenting.

      Well done Dodger , when I heard the emergency vehicle on the road , I thought “”Ey up ‘t owld lads flaked out “ well done on the climb and another very enjoyable watch 👏👏👏

      It was a close call that's for sure. I couldn't believe how quickly my legs started to feel heavy. I think it was the steepness rather the number of steps. One of those things you have to do though. Glad it wasn't summer! Thanks again for watching and for these comments it all helps.

      If only Baz. That wouldv'e been nice. I bet there's a lot that struggle especially on a warmer day. I saw a video the other day by one of the Waterloo guides and she was having to stop on the way up to catch her breath.
