Thanks for the comprehensive video. I’m gonna take a swing at fixing one my dad gave me. I believe it’s a slightly newer model but probably mostly the same. Hopefully it’s just as simple as cleaning the carb or swapping the spark plug.
I have one. Also sitting for 15 years with fuel in it, but in new condition otherwise. Gonna try to get it running following your lead. I’ll report back. Disclaimer: I’m not all that mechanically inclined.😂
Good luck! It's actually a really cool, smooth running generator. FYI if you get it running I did another vid using a wheel kit from a water pump to put on it.
Have you tried adjusting the voltage regulator? It's been a while since I made that video but I remember having to make adjustments to get the voltage right? There is a small potentiometer/screw on the back of the VR that you turn to adjust voltage - start with 1 full turn and see what happens and make sure you do this while the generator is NOT running.
Mr bubba, you possess a lost art
thank you!

A friend of mine gave me this exact one a couple months ago, which he got from his grandfather. I’m going to try to get it running this weekend.
Good Luck!

Replaced the voltage regulator and still gives me the same voltage the old one gave me. (2.6v) what else could be causing this?
