      Amazing Fan my 500 mag says lol to armor.
      Its immoral for a government to limit a population's ability to defend themselves. The point is to be able to arm and defend ourselves as well as the government is able to, so we can resist if needed. I don't care how good your armor is there's a way to work around it. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be allowed the top-tier self protection that is available.

      VAMobMember It’s a tough decision to make. I spent 4 years researching. It’s all about fit and comfort. You should be able to sit and twist with no restrictions. Everything else is personal preference. I almost got a mayflower rig. But in the end I got a screaming deal on a eagle ciras ranger green. Budget is a big topic to. There are so many variables to. But I would go for quality. There is a lot of knock offs and bad carriers out there.

    • @windsor64ful
      @windsor64ful 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BoMwarriorVlog where to begin. Do you want full protection. Or something quick to throw on. There are many companies out there making low grade carriers. One main issue is the plate pocket on most are small. Or don’t fit hard plates. Just soft panels. The material used is big. 600D vs 1000D. Durability. The mesh some have on the body side is like a swim suit from the 80’s. Where as the more $$ ones the mesh is a lot softer. Do you have a need for a releasable carrier. That can add cost. If so don’t skimp. The lower end releasable ones don’t work that well. There is a lot of videos out there on it. Stitching is big. But it all comes down to what you want in the end. A small light carrier like JPC only hold a plate. No soft. And there is no side coverage just a strap. Vs full carrier has wrap around sides. With lots of molle. I wish there was a place that you could go and try on a few different models. I went with a full coverage. So I have soft front and back and hard plates font and back. And when I fold over the sides it almost a full over lap of soft. It dose have side plate pockets. But I chose not to get them. My kit is setup to protect my home and land in an Extreme emergency. And will be pasted down when I get old.
      Comfort is the main thing. I will say there are a lot of people who just get the banshee with ar-500 plates. Cheap and affordable for the people with a budget. But not comfy. If you have $ to get what you want. Get the best. And not the best items but the best that suits you and fits properly. Don’t be a Carl..! 🇺🇸

    You go out into the woods hunting with your buddies or at a public range in more remote location, if someone is negligent and lets off a lose round..... You could be dead 20 minutes before the even ambulance arrives.....
    If you carry a tool to end a life, you should also carry equipment save one, (isn't that why you bought a gun, to protect life?)
    Put on a plate carrier, or a lightweight vest whenever shooting live ammo around others (or an active shoot obviously)
    Carry a tourniquet or three (if someone has an arterial bleed in the leg or arms it will save their live, one will fit nicely on your rifle sling or belt)
    Carry an Emergency care bandage and (preferably a chest seal and Oropharyngeal airway) in your range/car/go bag
    Lastly carry a charged phone, its an easy one to overlook but getting to the ambulance and hospital fast are critical to survival.

    • @immikeurnot
      @immikeurnot 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I'm also a fan of knowing the nearest ER to where I'm shooting, even having it pre-set in my phone's GPS.
      Why? Tourniquets, chest seals, etc. are to stabilize someone. If they're stable, you can transport them. If you transport them, you'll probably have them at the ER before an ambulance could have even made scene.

      Social Justice Warrior Why? What do you think a wall covered in ceramic tiles would have done differently in this scenario?

    • @angrysocialjusticewarrior
      @angrysocialjusticewarrior 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      BLWN GT 1 wow you really don't know? Ceramic is VERY bullet resistance. Of course, the ceramic plating used on military grade body armour is a special sort of ceramic material designed to stop some pretty hardcore bullets and projectiles, but believe it or not... even normal ceramic tiles found in homes is capable of stopping most hand gun bullets and even a few rifle rounds.
      If you are strong enough to walk around with a lot of weight on your body, you can even make your own home made body armour made out of ceramic, steel/metal sheets, and the same material used to make safety belts in cars.
      So since I am aware that most gangs in Western Cape do not own an Arsenal of armour piercing rounds from AK's like in KZN, ceramic tiles should stop most bullets going through your walls where you stay.
      You can even make your own home made grenades, bombs, and guns, stab-proof vests, ballistics body armour, ballistics armour for your car, ballistics shield, land mines, gas bombs, etc.
      But of course, off-the-shelf versions of these items will always be more effective than home made stuff. But with how determined the government is to take away our ability to defend our selves, home made is the way to go.

      Honestly after the first point I thought this was a joke video because of how long it took to equip your armor. I guess you probably have a bigger place with a more unique layout than mine (town houses) cause there's no way in hell I'd imagine having time for that if there was an intruder who wanted to harm my wife and I.

    While being a pro second amendment, gun collecting, range practicing person is great its not enough these days. Please everyone take it to the next level... Purchase a molle plate carrier, ar500 shooters cut steel plates front and back, six mag rifle molle pouch, ifak, CAT, knife, multitool and a quality light. Get a proper sling and a proper pistol holster that works with the plate carrier. Finally... go train with it!!! Trust me if the day ever come in which you are forced to carry you weapon for days at a time this setup will serve you well.

      There was a time in America when US citizens had just as much firepower as the government. Those were the days, weren't they.

    • @Gabdube
      @Gabdube 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Walrus If you're thinking about the 18th-19th centuries, individual citizens didn't have cannons, mortars and ironclad ships. Most households had _a_ rifle and maybe a pistol or two for the most fortunate. The army still outgunned civvies. Arming most adults in a family was prohibitively expensive for most of the population anyway. People had fewer legal guns _per capita_ back then than they do right now, not because of laws, but because of economics. A middle-class household nowadays is a lot richer than a bourgois household from a century ago.
