My Grandfather was from Lahore, came to Delhi during partition. For me it always feel like home whenever I see any city in Pakistan. I hope some day we all live in peace and this perpetual war ends. I'd love to visit and see Pakistan and the people. As someone livin in Delhi, I can understand Uncle's pain. God bless all.

My father and grand father (Dada) migrated from Gwollior. Dadi and Nana were from Narnaul. Father spend many years in Pune, Bombay, Jallundhar. After Partition were forced to migrate (due to Muslim Massacare) from India to Hyderabad Deccan, but after it's annexation to India, Muslims were massacre there too by Indian Army. My forefathers were unwillingly had to come to Pakistan. One of my uncles (chacha) and Phuppo were born in Hyderabad Deccan. My mother was born in Bombay. These all cities looks to me like my own. In Karachi, there are so many 'little India'. U will find glimpse of Indian Culture every where in Karachi. Gujrati, Rajhasthani, Mumbai, Surat, Kutchh, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangla, Madras and Goa. U can see people who migrated from all across India.

For more than a 1000 years we all lived together, side by side, treating each others normally. Respecting each others feeling. My father used to say "Gowallior my Ramzan my Hindu Masjid my Rozadaron k liye iftari bheja Karty thy". A single war/battle was not fought in the name of Religion. I think India is still my homeland. My forefathers are resting there in their graves.

I read about famous "Flying Sikh" Milkha Singh, whose whole family was massacred in his own native village in Pakistani Punjab. jallundhar, Ferozpure, Gordaspur, Batala, Pathankot had Muslims in Majority, likewise Lahore had Nonuslims in Majority. Now u will hardly find a Hindu in Lahore and No Muslim in gordaspur. Partition turned into a tragedy.

A few things: You can clearly tell the Nihari owner would love to visit Hindustan one day because of the way he was mentioning the history of the store. The kid was cute and amazing! The moustache/tash guy at the tea store has the best tash ever! Amazingly kept moustache. The guy in the background at the end looked like he was high and stoned and had too much of something! 😂

Idrees nihari is the best nihari eaten in my life. I used to live in the F. B Area and Javed Nihari was only 10 minutes from home but used to drive 1 hours to get Idrees Nihari.

टुंडे कबाबी के लखनऊ में कई आउटलेट हैं। गलावटी कबाब उनकी खासियत है।

If I'm not mistaken in Ranchor line word "Ranchor" is used for god krishna and majority of the traders outhere were migrated from Rajasthan. Our culture is so deep rooted bhaiji. It's very sad that we're divided by borders. Koi ni ek din aasha karte hain hum bhi pakistan gumne aa payege.

I /we were given to understand [and still believe]that ''one person left his ''RAN''[WIFE] and disappeared and that is reason it is called ''RAN CHOR'' lines''
We never knew it is used for ''god krishna''.Ranchor lines is /was always inhibited by ' 'MARWARI's'' who migrated from Rajasthan to Karachi in early1900,

In UK I make lamb shanks Nihari myself with grace and mercy of Allah it turns out beautifull. I ate Nihari in Karachi in 1980 with fresh Tandoori Roti just wonderfully taste.
