The first of Carl Malcolm's two giant hits from 1975 (the two biggest of his entire career), "Miss Wire Waist" is done in the style of "Curly Locks" by Junior Byles, which was released one year earlier. It is still a fine mid-tempo reggae cut, and reason alone to familiarize one's self with other incredible cuts from Malcolm in this era. "Miss Wire Waist" was a smash in the UK, topping their pop charts in '75. That second smash hit from the same year? "Fattie Bum Bum"... we'll cover that one later. :)
