It's Ben Sitting Idle For 70 Years, Things Are Bound To Be Hanging Up. We Got A 59-AB Flathead Out Of A Car That Hadn't Ran For 30 Years In The Late 70's in The Late 70's & Brought It Back. It Had The Same Issues, Blow-by, Valves Sticking, Etc. It Came Out Of It Without Having To Tear It Down, Cause We Couldn't Afford To Tear It Down. Keep It Up !!!

When I started watching the first start video on it I figured if it had any chance of running again, you were going to be the one to do it. None of them would have got it running that's for sure.
Can you imagine what the folks looked like and dressed like back in those days. Oops, I'm 81 years old and I was born in 1938. I never really expected to see that car start up and drive off. Great job, looking forward to more. Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Usually the people that have a bunch of negative comments about how you're doing things are doing nothing themselves, so I would just say, "I'm not perfect, but I like the way I'm doing it, better than the way you're NOT doing it." So keep up the good work! I love to see these old antique cars and trucks come to life. It gives us a little glimpse into what life was like in the old days. I'm kinda burned out on all the restomods and flashy Barrett-Jackson trailer queens. I'd like to see more of these vintage vehicles driving around like they did back in the day.

starter death was epic, l am always guessing what will be the point of focus in the comments, l would say starter abuse is in my top 3, car sounds great like proper grampa
I had an electrical fire in a starter on a 460 once which was caused by a stuck ignition switch. I didn't realise that the thing caught on fire until I tore it apart and found it completely ruined on the inside. Took me an hour to get the new starter in place since I didn't have a suitable jack to hold it up.
douro20 had a LTD do that but didn't burn starter, it melted the relay for the key switch. Had to keep starting it from under the hood. Some the old Ford's was really bad about that, had a Town car do it, Thunderbird, also Grandna got stuck.

What impressed me was how fast the Franklin moved down the road, after sitting since 1948 and just now being started up. Also the car went into reverse much more easily than I thought it would. While I've never been around a Franklin, and have not seen many cars that old, I have seen people work on a dead old car trying to bring it back. It isn't easy. You did good, and I enjoy the videos. RIP starter, now that's funny.....

'Tits on a boar hog', great saying, I use it! BUT, forlorn, tits on a boar hog are exceedingly important. Yeah we raised hundreds of show hogs. "What in the cat hairs are they good for", you ask. Didn't think you were ever going to ask! Simple!!! The more tits on the breed boar, the more pigs in the litter. Yep, it is hilarious, but that is how we tripled the Poland China litter rate. There's an old saying that goes..."Don't criticize a man till you've walked a mile in his shoes!" 95% of the population have never even HEARD of a Franklin, let alone worked on one. You just dug in your heels and got it running after 71 years So There! I think Noah is doing a fine job, being kinda quiet but takin mental notes of everything. Ken Worcester I've seen his videos and I like this content, I don't judge his work, the man has even admitted to the quality of his work, in several of his videos. I can see other people's points. Jonathan's works not to my own standards on something, on others well the man is an absolute genius, and one of the hardest workers I've ever seen. Got to realize that Franklin is it rare find these days, it's not the same as an easy come by Ford the same age. They're not really car show, more of a museum material, people have different standards for things like that.

What impressed me was how fast the Franklin moved down the road, after sitting since 1948 and just now being started up. Also the car went into reverse much more easily than I thought it would. While I've never been around a Franklin, and have not seen many cars that old, I have seen people work on a dead old car trying to bring it back. It isn't easy. You did good, and I enjoy the videos. RIP starter, now that's funny.....
Noah gets my vote for best supporting actor, hahaha! Anyway, I think it's great how you find these old cars and trucks and then get them running again. Looking forward to seeing an update on the 31. Have a great day.

Ken Worcester I've seen his videos and I like this content, I don't judge his work, the man has even admitted to the quality of his work, in several of his videos. I can see other people's points. Jonathan's works not to my own standards on something, on others well the man is an absolute genius, and one of the hardest workers I've ever seen.
Got to realize that Franklin is it rare find these days, it's not the same as an easy come by Ford the same age. They're not really car show, more of a museum material, people have different standards for things like that.
