Skelton pretty good, ive seen scores of the old show from different sources,THNX for releasing another, with over 600+ shows Skelton did, be curious to know how many might still exist?
I hope you can retrieve the video tapes ,unless they are lost and only available Kinescope only, of skeletons 58 and early sixties episodes, especially his occasional color broad cast tapes in the late fifties and early sixties. In fact I got a DVD of nothing but kinescope episodes of skeleton that goes through the sixties except the late 60's on NBC they were on video tape .I could not understand why the skeleton estate could not negotiation with CBS to show video tape version they preserve in their vault of his late 50's early sixties period .
@The Vault In 60 or 61 there was a repeat of a 59 episode that guest star Nancy Walker about the beauty parlor . We still had black and white t.v. I remember seeing it. Now it's kinescope on a DVD and found out it was in color originally . C.BS. kept it till after 61 and put it on 16mm ,worst not Kodachrome ? I know that CBS owns some earlier skeletons .A clip was shown on T.C.M. when they were talking about Red.It was Shot n black in White video clip from 61. When he played George Appalbee talking on a phone. At the bottom it stayed care of C.B.S. Now TC.M might of made a mistake and it could have. been 62 episode, but , it stayed 61. Why the Skelton estate when putting out the Skelton collection 9 years ago on DVD did not use any black n white video masters from C.BS. archives for 62 and up episodes include color ,except the ones in 70 and an excerpt from his h.b.o. I'm guessing Skeletons children and grand children were on a budget when they put this set out and for them the earlier video masters were too expensive for them to use from C.B.S., maybe. I'm glad that the original video masters for his earlier shows were retrieve for you tube.
"It was tough being stuck in a bucket with those kittens..." 😮 I saw Red Skelton when I was a kid and probably never understood this joke but oh man...really?
@@akrenwinkle Looks like George but I'd doubt it. He was still doing guest starring spot in television and supporting roles in movies, probably wouldn't waste time with a non-speaking extra part.
Thank you U TUBE. For giving me the opportunity to see my grandfather ( Phil Harris) again and again!
Linton celebrated his 120 birthday in June. The Museum just did an exhibit.
As soon as I saw that Phil and Alice were guests, I knew I would have another great hour!!!!!
Another best sketch!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful treasure!
Lotta these old shows haven't seen before, thank you 🙂
This is so precious, you can’t totally see that Alice enjoyed playing his mother here 😍❤️
Nice reprise of "Slumming On Park Avenue", by Alice Faye. As lovely and charming as ever!
The musical number about the "long-ago" 1920s, is the equivalent of a 2023 musical number about 1983.

My favorites together.

This dancer sequence I really like excellent yet comical. I usually don't like them.
Well at least Alice and Phil were great.
26:23 Bess Flowers in the front row!
Thank you
George Macready behind her?

@@michaelfitzgerald3467 I still think it's him, just on a lark, some uncredited fun. He probably knew Skelton. He certainly knew Bess.
That opening would not work today
I loathed Skelton’s show. Talented Black artists were kept off TV do this swill could dominate.
Would you be interested in knowing the Black artist who appeared on his show?
@@RedSkeltonMuseum I'll guess...Nat King Cole.
