Sadly the Muck-e is NOT a Mustang 🐎, it's a DONKEY made in Mexico.
the Muck-e is OVERWEIGHT and too HEAVY, it weighs Hundreds of pounds more than a PLAID with 3 motors.

Ok sure the Tesla is a winner but to be frank. For a purely 1st attempt by Ford this is damn incredible
Remember Ford is a 18 USD vs 200+ USD per share company. And yet its flexed its EV muscle damn close to a tech giant like Tesla.
I think Ford engineers deserves some real credit to have not completely copy a rival and yet ve a unique BeV that frankly felt better to drive and has good range than what even Giants like Porsche, Audi, Volvo, VW etc were able to make
Every Tesla fan wants Ford, GM etc to die. But I feel that they shud b given a chance and given a chance Ford did extremely well

A performance Mach E with five seconds of limited performance = fail in my book. A better solution would be to throttle back on the high performance once the range decreases to 75 - 100 miles.

I surely hope Ford pays attention to this. The 5 second rule is actually worse, it's diminishing full power based on speed. So at 70mph, you loose about 200 HP. I'm a GTPE owner and i live my life 5 seconds at a time.

I have one GT performance grabber blue got in October pre-ordered in May ..amazing car much better looking than tesla model y..but with a big limitation that ford unfairly doesn't tell the buyers to sell more and almost a brake deal for me that I use to have performance cars..
YOU CAN NOT HAVE THE FULL POWER FOR LONGER THAN 5 SEC AT THE TIME THAN THE SOFTWARE CUT THE POWER TO HALF TO COOL AND PRESERVE THE BATTERIES..THIS MEANS YOU CAN NOT DRIVE REALLY AGGRESSIVE AND YOU CAN FORGET TO PERFORM AT THE TRACK BECAUSE EVERY 5 SECS YOUR CAR WILL CUT THE POWER IN HALF AND WAIT COUPLE OF SECS TO RECOVER UNTIL NEXT CUT..ANYWAY VERY VERY ANNOING😬..FORD GIVES YOU A UNBRIDLED EAXSTEND MODE ("TRACK MODE") BUT IT IS ANOTHER SCAM BECAUSE JUST CUT HALF OF YOUR POWER FROM THE BEGINNING SO THE CAR HAS NOT TO DO LATER..FORD DOESN'T TELL YOU THIS..OTHER COMPANY(PORCHE/AUDI) TELL YOU WILL HAVE A BOOST FOR LAUNCH THAN YOU POWER WILL BE LESS..
TESLA MODEL WHY LOOKS LIKE A FISH BUT AT LEAST PUSH HARD WITHOUT ANY CUT OF POWER..I DON'T KNOW IF THEY HAVE BETTER ENGEGNERING OR JUST THEY CARE LESS ABOUT THE BATTERIES🤔
I WAITED SO MUCH FOR THIS CAR THAT COSTED ME 70K😬😱 AND THAN FORD CAME OUT WITH THIS TYPE OF SCAM ..UNFAIR AT LEAST😬😱
THE LIMITATION IS JUST SOFTWARE ANYWAY FOR MY UNDERSTANDING SO THEY COULD FIND THE WAY TO REMOVE SAFTLY THIS LIMITATION🤔😬

A year after this video was posted, we bought a Tesla Model Y. Price, charging network, features, and safety all combine to make a very compelling car. My last two new cars were both Fords, Mustang GT and Fusion. I still have the fusion, but I only drive it around town now, trips are for the Model Y. Dealers are killing the Mach-E by tacking on "market adjustment" surcharges. After the Tesla purchase experience, I don't ever want to go to a traditional dealership again.

I completely disagree on the FSD. Having used both, Teslas are years ahead. Tesla can be used in the city and highway. It can recognize and stop at red lights or stop signs. It can exit a highway on its own. And it works everywhere. It’s not geofenced. Ford only works on premapped highway roads. It can not be used on city streets. The reporter also left out one of Teslas best features: it has over the air updates. It’s been doing this since 2012. Mach E is supposed to get them, but last I checked, they still can’t do it.
Teslas also have TH-cam, Netflix, and many other entertainment options. It’s like owing an iPhone instead of an old Nokia. Mach E is not even close yet.

Lets look at this from a safety standpoint. The ford has a set of cameras pointing at your eyes to make sure you are paying attention. I don't think Tesla has that. So what is that worth when you are the passenger, or letting other family member drive your EV? Just trying to look at this from all perspectives.

    • @deenobrown1
      @deenobrown1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@jamesseay9943 the newer Tesla models have the interior camera now too. To me it’s much safer having to hold the wheel. Having your eyes on the road and not holding the wheel could cause a delayed reaction to an emergency. Teslas require both. Eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. So from a safety standpoint, using your metrics, Tesla wins again. Plus all teslas have received the highest safety scores of any vehicles tested.

I own a Model Y Performance. So I'm definitely biased here! Several reasons I'm sticking with my Model Y. One is FSD (I just got the update for Beta and it is so cool). Second is efficiency. Sure, the range of the Mach-E and the Model Y are essential the same. But the Model Y uses it's energy better and can do so with a smaller battery. That means quicker charges. Speaking of charging, the EA chargers are terrible. I tried one with a Taycan my local Porsche dealer was lending out. It sucked! And the charge curve on the Mach-E leaves a lot to be desired. The $7.5k tax incentive is a good reason to get the Mach-E. But, I just don't think I'd ditch my Model Y yet.

I bought the Ford Mustang Mach-e GT Performance Edition, and I’m very pleased. I drive it in unbridled mode with propulsion sound turned on and do not use one pedal driving. The propulsion sounds is not a V8 mimic, it is actually the sound coming off the electric motors being amplified and pumped into the cabin. I find the sound helpful during acceleration to gauge audibly what the car is doing. The throttle response is smoother in unbridled when not using one pedal driving. The regenerative braking works regardless of which mode you have it in. The ride and steering feel are firm and responsive. I like it that way. One of my other cars is a Porsche Boxster, so I compare the steering and suspension firmness and the car’s responsiveness to that. The GT PE is much heavier than the Boxster and I can’t fling it around a corner the same way, but if you go into a corner a little slower and hit the throttle after the apex of the turn it is a lot of fun. The ride quality is firm but smooth. The fit and finish and build quality are great. There are no creaks or rattles or panel gaps like the T cars. In real world driving I have not found the so-called five second rule to be a problem. How often do step on the throttle all the way for more than five seconds in a row? With power and torque like this you don't need to. I have learned to warn passengers to put use their headrests before I hit the throttle hard, because otherwise there is a risk of whiplash just from the throttle response. when passing on a two way road it can get going faster than any reasonable person needs in a matter of a couple seconds, I mean eye-watering fast. It is all around the best car I've ever driven.

I use my friends early production model 3 to drive into the hills all the time. We are always giving it alot of throttle. If the mach e can't even survive 5 seconds of acceleration on flat ground how would it do trying to climb hills quickly or making a high speed pass on the interstate. Great video, Ryan! Focusing on the NON-performance versions, I have driven both Model Y and Mach-E standard models. Both were impressive and appear to be easy to live with. I own neither of them [laugh now] - well, until my Mach-E order is fulfilled by Ford (est. early January '22) - but here are my thoughts: The things that this video focuses on (performance) is unlikely what the majority of car buyers want from the standard versions. That's not to suggest they want it slow, because the standard versions still deliver better performance (than my '09 Mustang GT actually - sad to say that, but I did). Where Tesla wins in performance (constant performance and best charging network - and I agree), Mach-E should deliver for 95% of buyers' driving needs (rarely need use of charging network if your daily driving is < 200 miles, have a 240v charger at home ready to juice it back up to full, or 90% if capping your charge - which I hear is recommended for battery health - and better physical comforts/treatments where you live the driving experience). In the end, the Mach-E standard wins for our family: better pricing, better looks, better range! What do the rest of you think?

Ford Mustang GT PE vs. Tesla Model Y PE. Been waiting for this one, Edmunds employs "real world" testing, rather than what the manufacturers claim. Reality rules.
    For those who are shopping:
--Cost: Mustang GTPE $69,800 vs. Tesla Model Y PE $68,700.
--0-60 MPH time: Mustang at 3.8 sec. vs Tesla MY at 3.7. Tesla wins the dash to 60, but not by much. Mustang falls on its face after 80 MPH; the Tesla keeps on accelerating.
--On the track: Mustang has the more "complete package" but unlike the Tesla, the Mustang is limited to only 5 seconds of full power, which to Edmunds, makes the Tesla a better, "sporty" choice.
--Braking from 60 MPH: GTPE 106' to stop vs Tesla Y 108'. Ford wins here. That extra 2 feet of stopping could make a huge difference on the road when you have to slam on the brakes.
--Range: Mustang goes 272 miles vs. 263 for the Tesla. That extra 9 miles of range in the Mustang gives it the advantage in the real world. Ever have to walk 9 miles?
--Ride comfort: Mustang ride is more balanced, composed and more civilized without creaks and rattles. Seating bolstering in the Mustang is superior. Mustang enjoys Magna Ride.
--Touch Screen Tech: Edmunds likes the tech in the Mustang over the Tesla saying the Mustang screen is easier to use and gives you Apple and Android Auto, which Tesla does not offer.
--Charging network: Tesla charging network is superior for those who travel in their EVs. Interesting, Elon said he would open his charging network to the others and now we know a huge infusion of government money is coming to add more charging networks for the Fords and others. In my opinion, any Tesla advantage here going to be lost at some point in time, sooner rather than later.
--Exterior Looks/Styling: Subjective. Edmunds does not express an opinion here, but I think the Mustang is styled more sporty and looks much nicer.
--Autonomous Driving: Edmunds elevates the Mustang BlueCruise "one step" over and above the Tesla "self driving".
If Ford can figure out how to give that Mustang more than 5 seconds of full power, the Mustang wins hands down.

That's unlike for example Porsche Taycan which was for a bit faster than Tesla Model S but with so many compromises in design practicality. The Track battle is completely pointless with these vehicles. NOBODY will do this other than an odd chance just out of interest. So forget that point. The Tesla screen is miles ahead, I have no idea what your are looking at. However, There are some things I would definately take from the Mustang, the power window controls, the volume knob, the actual attempt at a sports version interior (inlcuding the micro suede). The Tesla definately needs the extra screen, however, you missed the fact that the Mustang screen is downright dangerous as it collects most peoples knees. Both need physical knobs for climate. This is from a Model 3 owner... I seriously hate the fact that no physical controls is being rammed down my throat.
However, your conclusion that every EV except a Tesla is currently stillborn because charging them suck. With the Super Charger network, don't bother. The other point worth mentioning, is that only Tesla can actually build vehicles in a decent number, and they still can't keep up with demand. The fact is that buying anything but a Tesla EV is a leap of faith currently.

The GT gets way more attention like I have people waiting out in front of my car sometimes when I come out of shopping centers to ask questions about it.
Both are great cars the Blue-Cruise is amazing when it works but it's very limited but not much different then my FSD which honestly only works about half the time too (very bad phantom breaking out here where I live guessing the area is not mapped out to great) The GT gets over the est driving the Tesla always is way under (GT is good for 260 I normally get around 270-280) The Tesla is rated for 315 I normally get around 240-250) Both cars cost about the same I paid $70,040 for my GT and I paid $70,560 for the Tesla. These new EVs benefit us all. We'll have much better options in the future. Tesla has done wonders for this market. After having the Tesla, and then driving the Mach-e, I just much prefer the Ford. I don't do long trips, so charging and range aren't an issue. I suspect 90%+ people probably rarely take their car more than a few hundred miles away. Just a guess. I don't need a race car, they both are more than fast enough for most of us. The Ford is quiet, smooth, and I actually prefer the interior and infotainment layout vs Tesla. And I never have liked the appearance of the M3 or Y. Model S rocks it. I really like the MME look. @@Trendyflute This might change in the not too long future. Just like you, there are many people that won't by a car from an OEM because of the Dealer Network. They are hurting the manufacturer. In the case of this video, Ford is less competitive because of people like you are buying a car from another manufacturer because of all the issues with the dealers.
It's my understanding that Ford launched a program to help future owners find a dealer that would charge MSRP without marking the price up. That was step one. The next step is to sell to the customers directly.
Honestly I don't know how they are going to achieve that but they must do it or they are going to continue to loose customers and revenue. They must change because if they don't someone else is going to take those customers. And it has to happen soon if they want to stay competitive.

It can keep distance from other cars and stays in the lane. It can do all kinda of highway curves. You are lying to your subscribers. 2) Cameras recordings - 4 cameras record in every direction to USB stick while you drive and make it extremely useful in case of any road incidents. 3) Sentry mode - records anyone moving or touching your car in 4 direction. It sounds alarm inside and out if someone tries to break in. Very useful, especially in California these days. 4) Games and Netflix/ TH-cam . This is so useful when you are charging or waiting for someone. It has access to fast Internet for monthly subscription. Like $12 or some.

It’s not exactly limp mode. It’s not that great of a reduction. You probably won’t notice it unless you’re actually at the track. Ford knows most drivers probably aren’t racing these things. At most, they might get on it for a few seconds until range anxiety kicks in. On the flip, I wouldn’t be surprised if the tuners came with a way to override that. @@raydoherty5419 how does it get “demolished” outside of the 1/4 mile? Did you watch or read this? I own one, and just sold my Model 3 Performance/ you have no clue what you are talking about / performance isn’t all about 0-60. My best car by far I own is the slowest by a LOONG shot but will smoke the Y, GT and many others on the track /

@@andrewrae50 if they actually publish lap times you will see, the Y performance is a much better track car and will put down much quicker times.

Edmunds is owned by CarMax and is highly biased against Tesla! Don’t listen to a word they say here! Edit: By the way, even IF the “Mustang” was competitive (it’s not)…good luck finding one to buy! They made less than 10,000 of them! And they don’t have the batteries to compete! LOL

The moment he was dissing Autopilot and said BlueCruise is better, you can clearly see who is paying for this review. I have used Autopilot for over 100K miles in my Model S, 3 and now Y. There is NOTHING out there comparable. Such a great stress reliever. Yes you need to be attentive but nothing like what this reviewer is making it out to be.
There is no way this is a truthful review on Autopilot or Infotainment.
