  • Learning how to reapply a lace front is a key part of your hair system routine. Hairdresser Frankie gives an in-depth hair system tutorial to show how he attaches the front part of his Lordhair Neo stock hair system (www.lordhair.com/neo-mens-hai....
    Wearing a hair system means you will have to do a full removal and reattachment on a regular basis. How regular you do it depends on many factors but reapplying the front of your hair system might be something you do every week or two as is the case for Frankie.
    Watch and learn how to use glue to reattach a lace front hair system as Frankie demonstrates in great detail just what he does as part of his hair system routine. Know that you could also apply this technique to a hair system with a poly front.
    What you need: rat tail comb, hairbrush, hair clips, spray bottle of water, hair system glue, isopropyl alcohol
    Breakdown of Frankie’s lace front application tutorial:
    00:00 Lace front application introduction
    00:39 What you need
    01:28 Discussing appearance of hair system
    02:14 Wetting hair and brushing it back
    02:49 Clipping hair back
    03:21 Cleaning scalp
    04:29 Discussing how to apply glue
    07:08 Applying glue
    08:48 Applying a second coat of glue
    10:32 Rolling down lace front and applying some pressure to front
    11:19 Using rat tail comb to apply pressure to front hairline
    12:13 Touching up front with more glue
    13:05 Putting bandana on to apply pressure to front whilst glue dries
    15:08 Wetting hair and brushing it back to achieve hairstyle
    18:05 Removing bandana
    18:27 Using rat tail comb to perfect the hairline
    21:58 Final appearance
    22:30 Frankie’s final thoughts
    Also, be sure to listen out for key styling tips from Frankie whilst you watch his video on how to attach a lace front hairpiece.
    Frankie is wearing the Lordhair Neo hair replacement system. Its freestyle hair direction allows him to style his hair system as he wishes. The base of our Neo hair system combines a French lace top and front with a thin skin perimeter. It is a very natural and lightweight hair system. The Neo also has an A front contour which gives you a more recessed and perhaps more age-appropriate front hairline than our other stock models.
    Here is some basic product information about Frankie’s lace hair system:
    Base design: French lace top and front with thin skin perimeter
    Hair type: Regular human hair
    Hair color: #1B but there are other colors to choose from
    Hair density: Medium-light
    Front contour: A

    You know I keep hearing people that wear hair systems say you can't show a lace hairline but I think your exposed hair line looks very realistic. I'm sure it's also cooler in Houston wearing a lace system and not a thin skin.

    I feel like there are no good videos that show the entire process of removing, cleaning scalp and wig, and reapplying with the type of models that are thin skin and lace in the front. Could Frankie possible do a video on this? I like his tutorial the best it would be a life saver. thank you.

      Hi Steven - thanks for your feedback and for sharing your ideas. Yes, Frankie certainly knows his stuff thanks to his background in hairdressing and given how long he's worn hair systems so we're glad to hear you like his tutorials. Have you seen this tutorial video by him: th-cam.com/video/jxM2JIQb17Y/w-d-xo.html?. And you can definitely expect more videos from Frankie in the future.

    Thanks for the great detailed video. Do you use leave-in conditioner too? Is that true that conditioners weaken the base of the hair in these hair systems?

    • @Lordhair
      @Lordhair  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Regular/rinse-out conditioner can do that if you don't clean your hair system thoroughly enough as the conditioner residue can build up and damage the hair/knots. Leave-in conditioner can help avoid this from happening.

    Do you recommend tape or glue for very active, sweaty guys? I’m having issues with the hairline coming up after just 1 day of installation with Walker tape.

    • @josephdorino8250
      @josephdorino8250 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's why I'm hesitant to go with a hair system. Yrs ago I went to HC and loved the look but the front and back even would come up a bit after just a few days . I was too freaked out to try to even fix it myself lol..I'm super active so I went with Scalp micro pigmentation but now I'm just bored with the shaved head look and thinking about another system but super active and sweat alot.

    i just received my very first lace tube, and I am waiting for the tape to arrive, do i have to cut the edge from the front? it has like plastic edge it seems like I have to , having seen all the videos. . this lace looks so natural because it is human hair and the Swiss system or French, pls let me know do I need to cut the edge to the actual frontier of the hairline? thank you a lot!

    • @Lordhair
      @Lordhair  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you do need to cut that part off. Incidentally, we refer to that as the excess base material and you can learn how to cut it off here: th-cam.com/video/51hCIG-PlXI/w-d-xo.html.

    hi i am an italian boy, i put my first poly prosthesis. The water glue comes off, maybe it is not suitable for my skin. I'm using that acrylic .. have you ever used it? do you have any advice to make everything perfect?

    • @Lordhair
      @Lordhair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sergio - sorry to hear that. Finding the right glue is often a bit of trial and error. It seems like it may be a case of experimenting with different types of glue. There are several factors at hand that determine how well the glue responds such as the climate you live in, the environment you wear your hair system in (i.e. air conditioning/heating in a room), your skin type or how physically active you are so it's difficult to give you a definitive answer.

    I want one don’t know where to start , color , hair system size etc . I live in Denver colorado and saw on your page there is a hair salon who is partner with your company was wondering if I make an appointment they will help measure and determine hair color

    • @Lordhair
      @Lordhair  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Santiago - it's best you contact them directly but in the meantime, you can always check out pages like these www.lordhair.com/custom-options/hair-density.html to help you learn more. If it's a stock hair system you're considering then you are likely to just need to think about hair density and hair color before thinking of the best hair system for you.

    With a lace front, is it normal to still feel kind of a sharp edge to the hairline when you run your fingers through it? I didn't get a Lordhair one but I just got my first system and had a specialty place do it and the front looks chunky. It's like the glue is crusty or something?

    • @Lordhair
      @Lordhair  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a little difficult to answer but it could be the glue, yes. Maybe the lace material isn't that fine.

    So do you wash it in the shower? How does that effect the glue?

    • @Lordhair
      @Lordhair  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can shower in a hair system and it doesn't affect the glue or tape. Here's a customer showering in his hair system: th-cam.com/video/pMwD--J2fbc/w-d-xo.html. Glue or tape is designed to cope with water which is why you can also swim in a hair system.

      I always use tape and it takes me less than 10 minutes to apply. Another 10 minutes at night to remove tape using an adhesive remover. And then wash it with shampoo and high moisture shampoo. Sleeping in your system shortens the life of your hair. Also, if you have some strands over the front it looks more natural. I go to HPH hair in Florida and it's non detectable. Better than lord hair in my opinion. 30minutesto put on and take off is excessive. Btw, the hairline looks like they didn't' fully add hair to the lace front
      I've had 2 systems for 5 yrs this July and they look great.

      This is a well-worn hair system and shedding, unfortunately, will happen over time. If you are going to part your hair then expect more hair to shed at the parting/where you brush your hair than on other areas of your hair system.
