I was looking to get the book to follow along and it led me on a very confusing and highly problematic quest that I believe deserves your attention. The books you recommended were expensive so I thought perhaps there was a PDF for sale, or an old translation from an archive that I could adjust as I listen to your videos.
I found an English translation being passed around as "Devi Bhagavatam" and I was totally lost as I tried to follow along. It seems there is a PDF titled "Srimad Devi Bhagavatam" that is in fact the "Shri Devi Mahathmyam" (I have no idea what that is). So I tried to find a cheaper book but, MANY books published (one as recent as 2009) have the same problem! They're called "Devi Bhagavatam" but seem to actually be "Devi Mahathmyam" (I think). I fear people will try to find cheaper versions and end up confused/wasting their money on the wrong thing. Unless of course, I'm the one that is confused.
I hope my story is clear.
I'm nervous buying any book without having this clarified, please. Especially since the cost of the books (both that you recommended) high (for myself and others who are of lower-income).

pls tell me, if devi bhagawatam is a shakta text then why in 9th canto, suddenly golokvasi krishna is said to be as the supreme absolute and mula prakriti shakti becomes subsidiary to him?
