Here is a little reference in The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 3 "Broken Toys" Where "Clementine and Lilly Remember Larry" who is Lilly's dad in season 1 and she calls Larry an asshole and how he mistreated Duck in the drugstore!
Larry is a main character who first appears in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season One. Though he mainly cares about the safety of his daughter and generally has good intentions, his loud, cantankerous and judgmental attitude causes him to be a thorn in the side of most of the group.

I fed Clementine first and Larry last. I fed him to show him I’m the bigger person...but I did gladly helped Kenny kill Larry...without hesitation

I fed Clem, then Duck, then Mark, and I think Ben last but it's been so long I can't remember
I fed Clem first of all, then offered Carley but she refused saying I (Lee) need it more awww such a sweetheart she was. Then I offered Kenny, he wanted his son to be fed first, soo I went back to Duck, then back to Kenny, then lastly, Lily cause I had a soft corner for her.
I've always loved Lilly and this scene broke my heart. She believes that the way her father disciplined her was normal and it really isn't. I always suspected Larry was an abusive father given how much Lilly stuck up for him even when he was very much in the wrong. Lilly aggressively siding with Larry was probably a coping mechanism to try to get through whatever he was putting her through. He's really warped her way of thinking.
I wish we could've told her that what Larry did wasn't normal. Him being a military parent shouldn't excuse that either. My grandfather was in the military and he refused to spank my father and his siblings, as he detested violence. They all turned out pretty okay too. (Quirky, but okay!)

In s1 & s2 Kenny is a hypocrite a asshole & selfish
In season one many times he doesn’t have lee’s back & almost lets him die
& in season two if Clem kills sarita infront of him like he did to Lilly
He blames her & yells at her over it
He screams & yells at a child because they did what him along with everyone else taught them
& even then he Shames her saying she did wrong
But Lilly just stayed quiet
She didn’t do anything or hurt anyone until Carley
Hell she even just wanted to take Lee & Clem & leave if you tried to save Larry showing she didn’t want to snap & hurt people
In the end Lilly is a broken person who deserves more pity yet people see her as a monster while loving hypocritical asshole Kenny

In fact, I admire Lilly because she’s a beautifully deep and well-written tragic character who acknowledges her flaws but tries to work through them for the good of everyone. Even in the throes of grief and mourning, right up to the end she’s doing what she truly believes is best to keep the group safe. She’s far from perfect and she never claims to be perfect. She’s face-value. She’s real. She will never put on airs or pretend to be something she isn't. She’s a 100% genuine, realistic human being who loves and loses and tries and fails. That’s why I love her. I’m sad that she left the group, because to me she was more loyal than Kenny and just as concerned about Clementine as Lee was. Lilly had that fire in her that a leader needed. She was detached emotionally from decisions, especially after Larry’s death, and when he did die, I felt even more connected to her because she was struggling with the loss which was causing her thoughts to be clouded and her to struggle with certain mental issues, as one would. I loved her because I saw myself in her; someone who fought for family, but never put their life on the line. She was a better leader than Kenny, _fact._

Unfortunately the Ben thing couldn't work unless Clem was brought to Crawford and witnessed his confession. If she isn't then she would have no idea why Ben was all depressed after they got back.

Lilly insisted that her dad didn't care what others thought and that was what truly did him in more than his heart attack. Kenny actually paid Larry back on three fronts. 1. When he literally threatened to kill Duck or throw him out 2. For having knocked him out and 3. He tried to get Lee killed despite having actually saved his life when the Walkers finally began breaking into the drugstore. That was more than enough to kill him outside of Larry already posing a greater threat since his heart had given out for good.

the best line in the whole of Season 4 was Clem when Lilly came to the school to get the kids and Lilly started going on about what Lee was like and Clem can say "YOU DO NOT GET TO SAY HIS NAME!"

In season 1, she was not so cruel, cold and manipulative even though she killed Carley (Personally I made the decision to take her on the bus instead of abandoning her on the road). I hate this because originally Larry was really nice to Lilly and as bad as he was would never do ANYTHING bad to Lilly, Not even consequences.
Not really though. I mean he was "nice" to her but in season 1 there are times where Larry mistreats her daughter like yelling at her, telling her to shut up... Also you can talk to Lilly about Larry in optional dialogue in Episode 2 of Season 1 where is it shown that he is very harsh and rude to her because of his military training as well although she defends him. So watching this scene actually made me remember that and it fit very well.
