But then of course, SubaLuna turned into PRIME content, it's great, but even that relationship is quite unique, who could have guessed it would look exactly that way? With Luna often physically aggressive and Subaru enjoying spoiling her?

Basically 5th gen is highly likely full of extroverts or perhaps ambiverts, but overall they're all good at communicating.
I cannot help but feel fascinated everytime Kanata does an impersonation of Holomembers, cuz damn they're pretty spot on.
Even if she can’t nail the voice itself she can almost perfectly replicate their speech pattern

Yeah she's easily one of the best story tellers in HoloLive, it honestly even transcends language barriers since I can even listen to her without looking at the screen itself to see the subtitles.
The suprising part is how apparently Lamy is the extroverted one from 5th gen, and not Polka

5th Gen is pretty introverted but 4th takes it to a whole new level and makes them look extroverted lol.

Botan is the Gamer Introvert, who is recluse and aloof but can perfectly function in social interactions
Nene is oddly charismatic, but is *extremely* terrible at breaking the ice.

You have good observations for Lamy and Botan, but flawed ones for Nene and Polka being "introverts" in reality that know how to "act" as extroverts. You have no idea how lethal it is mentally to constantly try to act as an extrovert when you are born as introvert. Bottom line, Polka and Nene are extroverts that have their own little awkwardness when it comes to socializing, such as things you mentioned and that time when Flare said Polka, most of the time, "apologizes" when she talks over people on discord.
@@KazuhiroCh_HONMONO sounds like you speak from experience but the idea that it's "lethal" from "acting like a extrovert" is different from person to person the same way the degree of introvertness varies from person to person. You havent been around people enough if you can't grasp the idea that some introverts can adapt and learn how to act like extroverts.
@@KazuhiroCh_HONMONO Bottom line? Lol Polka and Nene have both gone on record to have called themselves introverts. Polka even said so in Kanata's presence. I haven't watched enough Nene and payed attention to enough of her occasional memory talks to conclude anything, but I DEFINITELY have with Polka. All I'll say is you're both right. Polka is an introvert, she has big extrovert energy with the right people, and it can take a huge toll on her. Her zatsudans show an entirely different side of her since she's by herself.
Ofc none of it matters bc no one is 100% intro or 100% extro, we all have our days to lean more one way or the other.
5th gen are really powerful, it's almost like they were all best friends before they even started
I think part of this comes from Coco being the kind of anchor point 4th gen heavily relied on when it came to interacting with genmates, and now that thats gone, theyve kinda gotta re figure out their group dynamic.

lol her opinions from lamy are very different from what she says about herself, like lamy being extroverted, she always says she is super introverted, only has one friend, and can't even talk with strangers like her hairdresser, so she goes to a different hair salon every time or when she goes out to eat alone someone forgot her order and she just sat there without saying anything until a waiter noticed her
I think it's more like, since Lamy had already 'met' her online, she was out going with her that it would be if it was their first interaction. Some Introverts can be like that.

Wow. This. This is me. Which sucks, given the work environment I'm in every day. I have grown in my social skills and ability to talk to strangers so much in the last two years. The two years I have spent as enlisted in the US Army.
A lot of times these discussions hinge on how people define "intro/extrovert". Usually I go with the (somewhat subjective) definition of "social interactions are draining vs energizing". I consider myself introverted, but if a topic I'm interested in comes up, or if a well-known friend synergizes with me (easy back and forth), you could mistake me for an extrovert.
I'm gonna be real, chief, as much as I like Polka collabs like ShiraKen and Bakatare Circus, I've gotten hooked on the content she can do with her POL switch turned off, like sleepy chatting streams and ASMR. I find the gap very cute. Also her voice melts me.

The things i love about 5th gen is whenever they collab with each other they always say whatever thing that comes into to their minds.
4th gen has the most chill energy since gen 1 now that Kaichou left. Kanata Towa and Watame have pretty relaxing low energy content. Luna goes kinda crazy sometimes but she’s a baby

And then there's 3rd gen... where extroverts mixes really well with introverts and creates hillaious situations. Same with Gamers (and whenever it's Subaru instead of Fubuki)
3rd gen also very cohesive. Both 3rd and 5th are solid but in different way.
Imo, 3rd gen has the strongest bond among all of the gens, idk why but i feel like they're really close that even feels like they're siblings, or smth like that. Maybe it has something to do with yagoo scouted them while the other gens had auditioned instead of scouted
It also helps that 3rd gen seems to have some of the most authentic friendships of the groups.
You get the sense parts of the other gens have individuals who are solid work buddies with each other but are at best very casual friends with each other.
3rd gen has that ride or die with your buddies attitude to them.
I still remember 4th gen being scared of Subaru because of her extroverted energy.

Gen 4 is not really good at the begining. And luckily, they have Coco who help them a lot. I am happy they grow up, build their talents and can stand by their own way now
I think some introvert will become extrovert or look like it when they meet someone who they always talk in online so its not surprising that lamy and nene is actually an introvert
It took me forever to realize I'm an extrovert like when I'm on my own I actually feel like I have no energy but when I'm with others or talking to others I have so much energy all of a sudden but at the same time I'm not a fan of loud music and large groups of people so I generally don't go to parties or bars
coco is probably the only extrovert but at the time she had a trouble with japanese language so.. yeah

What I'm getting at is that 5th gen is the extroverted friend that drags 4th gen around to do stuff, 4th gen being that friend who is too shy/introverted to speak up but they still have fun regardless

Just here to say that introverts don't necessarily mean shy or bad at communicating and extroverts don't necessarily mean confident and good at communicating.
The difference between introverts and extroverts are how they get their energy or replenish their social meter. Introverts can be friendly but it drains energy most of the time which will have to be recharged at some point by spending time alone. Extroverts on the other hand get their energy by being with people alot but will have their energy drained if they're alone for too long.
While it may be true that it's more likely for an introvert to be shy due to wanting to be alone most of the time, there are many instances of confident introverts and even shy extroverts.

4th gen = full introverts
5th gen = hybrid between extro and intro
I haven't thought about this until now but yeah, there's ALOT of extroverts in 5th gen. Heck, aren't all 5th gen extroverts?
It seems Kanatan mistakes "Social skills" for extrovertedness. Lamy and Botan are definitely Introverts with great enough social skills and might be comfortable enough with people, while Polka and Nene are extroverts who also have their own social skills nailed, heck even Polka has some awkwardness in her in the form of "apologizing" to people when she talks over them in discord according to Flare. That said, introverts like Watame, Towa, Ayame, some others maybe, and even her as I can feel, are the kind that might be really awkward or shy at first until they really get to be close to someone, OR until they change something with their approach to socializing, albeit not a "better" one as their preference isn't bad or worse to begin with, but just a different one. Bottom line, it all boils down to each person's personality and social skills learned through life, not whether they are born extroverts or introverts.

I think shion is right and gen4 after debut is just a very very low standard to compare how introverted/extroverted a person really is
Nene might be nervous at first but warms up to people fast. Her second meeting with Shion went much better. From Kanata's perspective that's still very quick.
It probably depends on her confidence level in the given situation. Like in Kanata's case, none of them are ever going to think, "oh no, this girl is way too stylish and cool for me to talk to!" But pair Nene with a trendy girl, or even worse two of them who already know each other, and that's probably where Nene withdraws a bit and needs reassurance that they don't think she's a weirdo. They know Kanata isn't even trying to be trendy, so she won't judge them on that.
I feel like Shion being kusogaki gives Nene some fear towards her unlike Kanata who is well known to be funny with everyone.
The answer likely is that it always depends. To Nene, 4th gen might feel closer than 2nd gen, Kanata might feel more familiar for whatever reason, she might have felt more comfortable in one of the situations for reasons unrelated to persons and so on. How they act and how they feel inside are also two different things. And intro-extrovercy it's a scale.
To me it's fairly clear that Nene is overall intro, but less so than Kanata. There's probably just a handful of people in Hololive who would categorize themselves as extroverts.

I don't think this is a matter of introversion/extroversion. While it can certainly affect how you interact with others, introversion and extroversion are more about how quickly social situations drain your energy. I think what Kanata is talking about here has more to do with social skills and conversational skills. Gen 5 seems to generally know how to make small talk and hold conversations with at least their coworkers.

I think 5th gen members are not that extrovert. They're just good at socializing with the other. Example Nene who everyone said is active and cheerful, can make an awkward situation sometime. Same with Polka. Surprisingly Lamy said among 5th gen members, Polka is the easier to get lonely. Lamy may be talkative but looks like only with people who close with her or her friends. While Botan seems like very good at conversation but doesn't interested to talk much.
While 3rd gen was a mix of both, the 4th is basically all closet otakus, except maybe Coco i suppose. Gamers dont care about being otakus in public, while 2nd gen is also a mix bunch. They even had a normie who pretended to be an otaku to get in. 5th being outgoing, does this mean that the next generation would be another pack of introverts? Jk they can be whatever
