The book of Ruth has been one of my favorite books in the old testament. I read the Bible all the way through when I was in my twenties and I was profoundly touched by the book of Ruth. To find this study today is a blessing. I listened to the book of Ruth last night as I prepared to sleep and it still touches my heart and soul.

Hi Brian, this was filmed last week but is the same study/material that Tom used several years ago in his teaching of Ruth. He is covering this book again in preparation for teaching the book of Matthew. Blessings!
In the beginning of the video you said that the early church fathers didn't know about OT being dead and gone. I never heard such a thing. The church fathers and maybe the entire early gentile orthodox church came to condemn the Jewish Torah obedient christians called the Nazarenes and Ebionites.

Ruth and Boaz were listed as the great grandparents of king David. This is clearly notated in the genealogy of Jesus listed in the gospel of Matthew.
