You always share the best information. I have tied split reins on hundreds of times , today will be the first time I do it correctly.

Just because its how do it doesn't mean its correct, its just how I do it.

Craig Cameron (Texan) showed my wife this years ago. This was in Paso Robles CA. He took the time to talk to us about the history of using the split rein hackamore in Texas. Wife listed. Myself being a died in the wool meathead did not, until..

Makes sense to me, and a question. Have you ever used a indian hack adore, and if you have, what are your thoughts.

Do you mean a jaw rope? If so yes if you mean something else I dont know. A jaw rope works good and really gets the horse between the reins but I mostly ride colts and dont really like it on a colt.

Get moved into one saddle house just in time to move to another lol? I've been using split reins on my loping hacks for awhile. I think it's good for them in the way I do stuff because I go into a snaffle after a hack and very very rarely do I use a mecate on a snaffle bit so I think using split reins in the tail end of the time your riding them in a hack is a pretty good idea.
