    Where are your favourite laces to shop for second hand fashion - online or in physical stores?

    I started shopping exclusively at local thrift and consignment stores a few years ago. I enjoy finding unique pieces. I've not had much luck finding what I want at online thrift stores. If I happen to be traveling I try to find thrift stores wherever I am and love that the pieces I find there have a memory of the trip associated with them.

      Michelle H that’s a fantastic idea! Is it things like tshirts or something more special that you find when you travel?

      @@CoolSustainable Really depends on the store's selection. I got particularly lucky at one shop in Santa Fe this past summer and found a linen top and a pretty jacquard skirt.

      I try to hit consignment and thrift stores in Florida when I’m there in February. Admired a woman’s shoes at the car rental….she said in hushed tones that she got them at a consignment store. Found them at a Salvation Army in my size!!!!

    Hello. In the past I had not good experience with buying clothes in second hand stores. :(

    • @CoolSustainable
      @CoolSustainable  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh really? Like, poor choice or bad clothes?

    • @evitasify
      @evitasify 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CoolSustainable Poor choice....Do you have the same experiences? Or maybe I was not lucky enough.

    • @CoolSustainable
      @CoolSustainable  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@evitasify I think it depends on the store and the location. There is a shop near me that stocks clothing from Norway - it always has good choice. I think also another key is going in not just to browse but with a specific item in mind. That way you can limit your time in each store and perhaps find what you need. Also, online stores such as Vestiaire Collective (expensive) or Vinted or Threadup and Poshmark have lots of choice but you need to super sure about your size.
