Thanks Nakara and love right back at ya. You would have been happy to see the love Shelly Ann got from us. Same level with the kenyan athletes if not more

Unbelievable! You uploaded the full length of the race. The whole 10 seconds.

Tebogo, onwuzurike, omanyala, mboma, sinbine, Favour ofili, masilingi, Favour ashe. These are some African athletes coming up now, the takeover is really looming

The take over is definitely coming.
....about time with over a billion black people what was Africa doing all this time.
this gave me chills, home victory that means a lot for the crowd, and for Kenyan people, unbelieveble victory, congratulations from Italy.
I was feeling so nervous before he started.i was praying for him to win because of the crowd watching him.
As a Jamaican congratulations my Kenyan Brothers. 👍👍👍
Much respect for Kenya brother

Congratulations to Omanyala and to all all our Kenyan friends. Gaetano from Italy.

This tells you that Energy is everything. He was in front of his home crowd, everyone believed he would win and he did it!
He's said it before
Indeed, he did ignite the stadium, I can imagine the feeling, what an honor.
The Kenyans have now diversified into sprints!
About time. Never understand why the speed genes stopped in the Caribbean.
The president is even Happier than ever 😂😂Omanyala is the future for African sprints 🇰🇪🇰🇪
Great one our Kenyan Sprint Legend. You answered and fulfilled my dreams of one day seeing a Kenyan shine in the Sprints🇰🇪
From a country that traditionally shines in marathons, the opposite of sprints
Congratulations brother 💪💪💪💪
For once we have an African sprinter who posts really impressive times in 100m. Congrats to our brother from the east of our motherland and the brilliant Kenyan nation for representing us so well in the history of this beautiful sport. With love from Botswana
You forgetting about simbine??
In the late 80s there was a Nigerian fellow called Chidi Imoh. He started it for Africa. Young people have never heard of him.
There have been some. You just don't know the history of athletics sprinters
@@ozandrocameron8131 obviously they didn't post times that are as impressive as Omanyala's. He looks world class while the rest were good, but not among the best in the world. That's what makes him better than anyone I have seen so far. Its early days, but the signs are promising.
@@mysticalszn7787 of course not. I respect what Simbine has been doing, especially in the last 2 years, but he is generally a 9.9 man; dipping below 9.9 only twice in his career (9.89 & 9.84). I'm not belittling his efforts, but a 9.9 is not really impressive for me because there is fine margin between him and an average runner (10 sec). Its my honest opinion. Omanyala on the other hand has posted 9.86, 9.77 and 9.85 between August last year and May 2022. He is the man of the moment who looks world class for me.
Let's all embrace peace and appreciate the beautiful talents our East Africa Community has💜💜
Congrats from Jamaica 🔥 🇯🇲 😃
On behalf of the Kenyans thank you

Big congratulations to Omanyala you've made Africa and Kenya 🇰🇪 proud.

Massive CONGRATULATIONS to Kenya. This was no accident it was meant to happen.
thanks for revealing the race in the title before i could watch 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🙌🏾
So what cry cry baby
first time seeing kenyas doing a fast short race
I'm pretty sure all of Africa has elite long and short distance sprinters.
He ran a 9.77 on this track last year
Carl Lewis ' s both grand parents is from Nairobi
Not to mention the whole of Southern Africa.
Omanyala has done it at South Africa too running 9.90
Congrats from Italy to Omanyala, what a great run! Unfortunately our Marcell Jacobs couldn't run cause of an intestinal virus. I was looking forward for seeing him race, cause i am sure he could have run an amazing time in Nairobi.
I missed american Jacobs
Him not running was the only downside to the event. Was really looking to see the matchup between him and Omanyala. Was a bit scared of Tortu too but don't know what happened
He was scared!

Kenya,Kenya,Kenya,Kenya...GO KENYA GO!!💪💪🇰🇪🇰🇪 Fun fact: if there is a group of people in the whole world that are loved nd cherished by Kenyans it's Jamaicans. Jamaican culture/ artists/music/ accent is worshipped heavily over here. One love 💕.
Omanyala was so relaxed at the finish line
Genetics, good training and food straight from the soil.. good win Omanyala you made us proud 🇰🇪
Food straight from the soil? You mean they still have that in this world? In American you sale organic food and you are still sure what you are putting in your body but they sure know how to charge an arm and a leg to buy it. I want food straight from the soil. I want to eat healthier. I do. Omanyala, I will be watching you. The World Championships are this summer at Oregon University in Portland. Be there or be square. Ha.
Made in Kenya 🇰🇪
Thank you Brother 👏👏
I thought Kenya was only into long distance races but now they have a world class sprinter. Didn't know they possesed such talents. Bravo Kenya 🇰🇪.
we definitely do. We're very diverse
One of the most powerful runners I've seen, despite not being very tall, his power helps him never lose speed
wonderful , splendid run by my kenyan brothers. Keep it up guys. Much love from ethiopia
Wow! A beautiful run Omanyala👏👏👏👏👏👏💐! Congratulations on your win & God bless you for flying the Kenyan Flag high🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Omanyala claimed this race way upfront when he declared that there was no way anyone could beat him on home soil!! Well done bro! You've done Kenya proud!!
I want Kenya to dominate Rugby ... They can be better than New Zealand...They have Lion's strength , cheetah's speed and full wrestling ability
We're almost there
Actually Omanyala was a Rugby sevens and was encouraged by his coach to try sprints. The rest as they say......
@@champe_ke2394 exactly, him and omae (don't remember his 1st name).
You have to take on Namibia and Zimbabwe first, New Zealanand is lightyears away.
@@keketsomega8358 Zimbabwe is not so much a huge deal for Kenya, Namibia on the other hand frustrate us every encounter. Hopefully we can improve with time
It is good that African Continent is producing fast men in the sport. Frankie Fredericks and Akane Simbine among others.
Congratulations our very own🇰🇪
Kenya is blessed,Africa is blessed,we are taking over all the races🔥🔥
Mr Omanyala, this race augurs well for your future in global sprinting. You'll only keep on advancing! Wishing you Godspeed towards your goals.

Good job representing us Omanyala. We are proud for you. Keep gettin better fam !!
Time wasn't nearly as quick as most people expected (myself included) but still a great run. Marcell Jacobs did indeed pull out so we can only imagine what would've happened if he was in this. Great win for Omanyala.
I was happy with anything around 9.85
True.but also take not of altitude
@@oscarkamanda3301 I was expecting a much quicker time because of the altitude. I was fully ready for a 9.7 to be dropped lol

That's home cooking, He was relaxed, in his element & won for his country lol
Jacobs posted on social media and said he had a gut virus which kept him from competing. It can be so easy to forget the very simple and small yet profoundly impactful ways that these world class athletes are as human as the rest of us.
Congratulations to Omanyala. Hopefully now he can begin to receive some of the credit he deserves.
Credit for false starting?
@@riccardogiovetti He didn’t false start here. If you watch the video at 0.25x speed, you’ll notice that his first movement was almost at the same time as Kerley, and was at the same time as lanes 1 and 8. His first stride was just more explosive than the rest of the field. Even if you think he got a 0.02 second false start, he won by a greater margin than that anyways.
They are humans but they have to be particular safe about what to eat or drink.
@@Elliottklassen You serious? Look at when his hands come off the floor😂. Kerley and Tortu were way behind him by step 1. False start was at least 0.05s, i reckon 0.07/0.08. Your excuse Is that he was esplosive? Omanyala Is not a fast starter, plus for the rest of the acceleration he seems to get caught by Kerley. If he was so much more explosive he should've kept pulling away, which he didn't. That's why he has a High 6.5 PB in the 60m
@@riccardogiovetti Well idk if he false started or not but your assessment is actually incorrect. Having an explosive start is one phase of the race. Having a speedy drive phase is another. Exploding out of the blocks does not mean he should have kept pulling away because Kerley may have the greater drive phase. Regardless, he had Kerley well beaten and looked like he had the better top end so the point is moot.
Blessings from barbados. Keep training hard and having faith in GOD and more victories will come
He looks so comfortable getting to the line in the end
What a great run, congratulations Ferdinand
Omanyala is from my country Zimbabwe, we are soo proud of the son of our soil 😎

Yes, this is where we Africans belong.100m race is African, the best 100m runners in the world are of African origin, and I believe we've every reason to take back what belongs to us.It's a manisfestation of self belonging, and I congratulate Mr Omanyala for that win.
Athletism in general is us, trust with better facilities and equipements even in swimming we will rule them 😂

I'm very sorry for Mike Rodgers, but his time is over. He has performed poorly in several consecutive races.
I think he knows that and is just getting in his retirement tour to make as much money as possible.
Or he could be dealing with an injury? Guarantee he gets into decent shape by U.S. champs.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is his last season
Mike Rodgers has done well for himself and reckon now it's time to for him to pass the baton to the coming generation less he wants to try 400m😛!
