@@SegaNintendoGuy64 the game has a lot of elements that nowadays are archaic, I know. Even with that, she still isn't playing very well: the game is set for you to move around a lot and it encourages you to try as much as you can and sometimes even being creative with getting the stars, giving you the tools to do so. A big example of this small think is that one pillar in Shifting Sand Land.
Honestly, getting the 100-coin star on all 15 levels is my least favorite when I played Super Mario 3D All Stars. Because I’ve died so many times and I had to start over to get 100 coins, It was so rage-inducing to me
I remember my first playthrough. I still can't remember dying anywhere near as much as this. Actually, I don't even remember if I ever got the game over screen. I was eight.
You might want to revise that description because you’re counting course ejects (not caused by getting stars) as deaths but your description seems to indicate otherwise.
Honestly I didn't watch this original playthrough because it started to become painful... Thanks for this, now I can cringe. This is as bad as Elliot in Mario World.
@@angel-of-light-kelly1355 thing is, dying by itself isn't... god awful, I still die in the game because I play very reckless due to how much I know it and thus die for being fancy. Masae dies mostly due to screwing up for either not exploring the área or exploring too much.
10:25 Is that only possible on this slide or can that be done on all slides? I asked, because I did the 100 coin star in cool, cool mountain on the slide and missed it so I had to start over.
8:16 This one's the funniest to me, with Mario getting pummeled by the ice.
I’m with you... that one is so very funny 😆 😂
8:20 Ow! Now that was just cruel!
Here’s a lesson, you cannot defeat this game until you learned how to defeat yourself.

Masae: Hello Shy Guy, will you take me over?
Fly Guy: Shy Guy? WTF? (I'll take you somewhere: To a sandy grave)
That poor girl, That game is seriously unfair to her.
Not really.
@@shis1988 Why if I may ask?

Eh this game can be really unfair
@@ThaPlaya1994unless your me and can navigate through it.
17:25 best part of the fact you need to land the cannon shot on the pole is that Fuckya in the platform.
Edit: yes I know their name is Chuckya.
1:20 I didn't think it was possible to get stuck there.
love masae! ninjaydes deserves massive respect for keeping track of so much over the years
11:33, "Ah, my precious pepe~ I will give you a good home right into my stomach~." *Nom*
You work fast.
Poor Masae has had so many unlucky deaths
2:47 If she hold the A button or landed on the slope she would've avoided the fall damage and survived.

I liked it. It's all in the matter of just not being in the wrong spots
It seems to me like this game makes her mad.
It’s a blind play through for her.

@@shis1988 same, only difference. This is her first time playing, while I first played this game when I was eight too.
@@shis1988 I was 11. I remember getting plenty game overs
The only reason she is blind on this going for 100% is because she speedrun this game with only 16 stars that’s why :)

Welp. It had to happen sometime.

Honestly. I could just show Masae up. Which I can. I played this many times I had my fair share of deaths and I can get every star.

No no that's an insult, Masae has skill unlike Elliot back then..
Now I wonder how Elliot playing 64 would be like... Johnny did die a lot in that playthrough, but how would Elliot do?

Wait, does the Red Cap count as a death?
No the Red, Blue and Green cap doesn't counts as death only take you back from the start inside or outside the Castle that all.
