Placebo are an English alternative rock band, formed in London in 1994 by singer-guitarist Brian Molko and guitarist-bassist Stefan Olsdal. The band were soon joined by drummer Robert Schultzberg, who was replaced in 1996 by Steve Hewitt. Hewitt left the band in 2007 and was replaced by Steve Forrest in 2008. - เพลง

You're right, this band is amazing and I can't stand the ones who try underrating one of the biggest bands ever. Their music is a reward to the alternative scene and to those who were looking for a deserving and thorough method of blending rock with electronic elements and you'll figure out there's no one at the same pace as Placebo. Furthermore I want to praise and highlight Brian's voice, which makes every track sound flawless, hot and inspired, full of peace. Sadness is a common feature when you argue about the vibe and the emotions spread; earnestly this aspect faded away over the years while a chunk of joy and gladness started crossing this melodic line.
Seen them on Sziget in either 2007 or 2008.. sadly I was "too metal" to care.... sucks to be young and stupid...
Time to get older and wiser haha. Bombastic performance for all 3 of them!

In Dublin concert, this song was much better and all the people were standing up, this gig was amazing, one girl came especially for them from Hobart Tasmania, I listen to their music every single day from 10 years and never enough...

Now reading Kropotkin, reminded me of this song. We the landless work on the land and we pay the land owners money for the privilege and they decide our pay, working conditions, hours, etc. We need to extend democracy to the economic sphere and start voting for our employers. Set up an anarcho syndicalist union, go on general strike and then let the workers take over the means of production. We do everything but make the rules. This needs to change!

The synth and the violin just dont work together, but Steve Forrest is the best drummer Placebo have had. He takes this version to the next level with his breathtaking drumming.

I was there Budapest, 2001 than in 2003 and 2006, 2009...times changed. They're not the same anymore...year by year weaker and weaker, maybe I lost them in time, but this music is not what I loved most for 12 years. Shame that they couldn't grow hihger. Violin and more stuff on stage but nothing happend, I see they still have fans but it's definitely not the same kind of feeling now as in 2001...
People change. Its part of life. They are people too you know? The fact that they have shared with us their energy and love for so long is enough.

Black Market had some good songs and same with Sleeping With Ghosts but I think if Meds were their 3rd album they would of been worldwide. Battle for the Sun was a good stadium like album. People change, you might not like where it's going so just listen to the first 3 albums.

I agree, they kind of got 'diluted' if thats the right word...I loved these guys in the late 90's and early 00's...after black market music it went downhill for me, its a pity.

Sure they were formed in England, but that doesn't make them an English band in my opinion, as much as I'd love to associate them with my home country. I know Steve Hewitt was English but he wasn't even the original drummer, who incidentally was Swedish.
