This is a great video, it's wild seeing what your van looked like awhile back, it'd be super cool to do an update video on your van showing how all your etchings murals, 4x4 conversion, and so on have evolved in detail, we get glimpses of it on the swim shop but and in depth look at your art on it would be cool.

Nice work, I like to add a bit of color to some of the more highlighted parts of the piece by dry rubbing some paint into it. I use modelers paint, I haven't done any since the 80s but plan to get back into it with my 67 chevy G20 van.

I avoid half the issues by drawing on paper first, perfecting the pencil drawing, tracing over it with sharpie, then sticking the paper to the back of the glass, and then etching. Long as you have the same pov with your stance, no issues and less clean-up.
The only issue that pops up is if you shift and it is a thicker glass, a line may not line up (distorted slightly by window depth).
And yes... still works with tinted windows, just changing from black to mettalic silver sharpie.
It also lets me know if it will work as a black and white composition before adding it to my windows.

Also old school trick.. fill them in with white shoe polish to see them better. Some prefer model paints for a full color window. (I prefer the white polish and using a black light to make them glow.)
In addition to goggles and a mask, i also wear gloves... cause the glass slivers are pokey (like fiberglass shards).
