      Old video, but... if you have never tried this, install the fogs with the yellow on top, then drive in bad weather to notice if you see better. The beams are not the same height. (Of course, whichever is on top, make sure they are aligned properly. That's the only way you will know for sure.) The fog yellow/amber is the most important. -EDIT That will be more important on vehicles lower to the ground.- Depends on the height and adjustment.

    Installed these on my 2018 Tundra. Had to order replacement light housings, as my SR5 had upgraded LED fog lights that didn't have replaceable bulbs. Wanted the amber.

    Was looking for a video showing these on an F-150 (I have a '17). Thanks so much, think the switchbacks will be a good upgrade from the regular white LED driving lights I have now.

    Great video. The LASFIT switchback bulbs I bought through Amazon for my 2020 F150 STX do not fit. The wiring did finally seat but it required excessive force. The bulbs don't fit the stick sockets. Returning my order to Amazon and I have contacted LASFIT to find the correct bulb.

      Never force any connector. If you find bulbs you are really happy with, I.E., beam pattern, and the connectors do not seat properly but work, use electrical tape, silicone, or dielectric grease. ... "beam pattern" ... That is the most important aspect, not brightness. Color is next, and IMHO 6000K and under is the best. Lumens/lux, etc. are not worth having over a bad pattern and glare over the hot spot. (Don't be one of those people!) EDIT - Sorry, not saying you are or will be. :-p General point. - One thing good about the Lasfits', and you can see it in this video, is they have more of an amber color, about 2700K versus 3000K.

    If you have Auto headlights where it will witch from high to low when the truck see a car will it change from white to yellow every time your high beams turn off or on

    • @AutoHeadz
      @AutoHeadz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! It depends. If there is a very quick switch time (high beams off and then immediately on) then yes, it will; but as long as there is. 3 second delay between the “high to low” switch, the fog lights will stay the same color. Does that answer your question hopefully?

    Is this only for a base F-150 that comes with oem bulbs. My brother got a 18 platinum. He saids the whole lights is intergrated with leds. Can’t change them

    • @AutoHeadz
      @AutoHeadz  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are saying that the 2018 platinum comes from the factory with LED fog lights?

    • @seanvangster
      @seanvangster ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AutoHeadz yes factory intergrated. So when the fog lights goes bad.. you have to replace the whole assembly

    So I bought these switchbacks 6months ago and rarely use them and last night they switched colors on their own and then one bulb stayed on white while the other stayed on yellow. So I turned off headlights and back on and they both synced up to yellow then few seconds later it keeps happening so I checked bulbs and the fans are not spinning so maybe thats the reason this is happening. Does anyone know if the water from rain , car wash can cause fans to burn up? Cause the light housing isn't covered on 2020 f150. Lasfit was awesome and are sending me replacements.

    • @AutoHeadz
      @AutoHeadz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can only speak for the 2015-2017 models but those fans are definitely not supposed to get wet.

    Only thing I noticed with my 2012 pathfinder is when I turn on the white driving light and go to my high beams when they switch back to low beam they switch to the fog light setting, must turn off switch and back on to get the white light back. Other then that no complaints, love them.

    • @AutoHeadz
      @AutoHeadz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahhh that’s weird huh? Yeah man, I’m loving them. Had some snow the other day and the yellow really makes a difference.

    • @livingaboard
      @livingaboard 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well technically you shouldn't run fog lights unless there is fog or precipitation where the yellow fog is needed to cut through that. So you wouldn't be running high beams anyway. You need to rewire your figs to fix this issue

    • @Gtown1981
      @Gtown1981 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you can disable the fog light shutoff when highs are on with a forscan.

    • @icebox829
      @icebox829 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s because your car won’t allow you to have the fog lights and brights on at the same time like most manufacturers. Try using UPREV to program the car to keep dog lights on with brights and that won’t happen anymore
