Searching for the richest gold deposits in Tasmania!!

- In this video I’ll be searching for rich gold deposits in Tasmania. I’ll be hiking into a remote river and searching for the best deposits of gold I can find.
Some parts of this river I’ve found gold nuggets in the bedrock crevice’s.

Great words describing your passion for gold and your love for the outdoors. I feel the same, except owning a farmhouse with gold-rich river in Cornwall. I'm learning blacksmithing to make my own tools. My daughter and I love bushcrafting. I agree that gold prospecting is hard graft, but this is our passion; the hours that mount up are our reward. @@briangill4000 There's a fair bit of gold in the Pilbara, i used to work up there myself, one bloke i used to work with would go out on his days off and he seemed to have a fair bit of luck, i have seen what he found...
Your love of nature shows through in the great photography you give us. As much as I love the gold search, your photography of the tree fungi and various plants reminds me of the Daintree Rainforest of far North Queensland. There’s a botanical link between our Tasmanian cool temperate rainforest and the tropical northern areas like the Daintree. It’s through these treks and searching for gold that it’s possible to make these comparisons, thanks Levi!

For sure the gold is great but getting a good gold trip captured and knowing it gives people some hope and encouragement to have a go themselves makes me happy too. the world needs more recreational level prospecting and time spent enjoying nature

Got to love Glacial gold. That is all we have in the Midwest USA. Sometimes multiple gram pieces are found and I have seen over 11 grams come out of 1 4 foot long crevice. Great video as always Levi !

Awsome place. A real wide river so theory changes on where you find gold depending on speed of the water, cool pices. Nice colors to the rocks (sulfer,copper staining, mineralization in quarts) crush it and pan it for fine little bits. Love the videos

Thanks mate it has happened mate yes I’ve missed the odd few but the gold is usually obvious in real life but rocks can look like gold on camera but easy to tell there not in real life I think that makes sense 🤔😁

Haha, oh man.. watching you tube and visiting blogs and social media pages i see many people commenting and imagining that one can just hop out their car next to a river fart, burp maybe kick a rock and find gold 95% of the time.. and that same percent probly applies to the commenters who never venture further than the fridge or crapper in their home lol, my only advice to them would be get fit, study your ground or learn how to, be safe, curtious to others and just get out there and try it for yourself! there is always that 5% chance..Great vid!

Hey mate thanks yeh if it’s a day trip like this vid I suit up at the car and don’t get out until I’m back so leeches aren’t a problem those days but we just got back from a trip today which was an overnight pack trip my legs got hammered by them I e got itchy leech bites all over me usually my gaiters keep most of but I couldn’t find them before leaving 😖

I know the technique I know the science and although I have never been to Tasmania everything he was portraying is very authentic including that beautiful gold and the geological history of the glacial era and all of the Fantastic flora and fauna including that Tasmanian tiger Skull and Bones he found.
