How to estimate Total Copper from Chalcocite in Porphyry Copper Deposits

Estimate total copper in three steps
1.- Use the graphic scale of mineral percentages, Example AGI data sheets and calculate the spatial percentage both disseminated and in veins that we see in the microscope or Hand's magnifying glass.
2.- Compare the percentage images and what you see in core or RC chips or BH chips.
3.- Make the Approximation: From the chemical formula of the Chalcocite, we obtain that copper content is 79.8%, for our purpose we round it to 80%. We take this approximation as a reference, if we have 1% (spatial percentage in the microscope or in hand magnifying glasses), we will have that Total copper is 0.80%
