Perfect I swear .. I sent this series link to all my colleague in the university And we are waiting platelet disorder ✌✌ .. * so proud that you are Arabian 😷
Can you pleeeeeeease do a series on blood bank and Clinical Chemistry? All the medical Technologists will appreciate it, since its a forgotten profession😰.....we take exams all the time for licensing and you are by far the best in the game
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis there are millions in this Profession that we call the "engine to medecine) most people just see Medical Technologists as "the lab people." Medicosis Perfectionalis I’ve studied Biomedical Science (and work in labs - Haematology and others) and your videos help me to refresh my memory. Your explanations are very clear and your video library extensive. I really appreciate any videos about laboratory tests and medical conditions. I’m definitely looking forward to your future videos. Can I suggest videos about the science behind immunology tests such as ANA, AIP, Anti-CCP etc for autoimmune conditions. Thanks for your work!
Ah brilliant !! I didn’t notice those before. I was looking for those types of videos under Immunology previously. Thanks for pointing them out; I’ll go through them :)
Excellent videos.. Beautiful graphics... Highly interesting presentations... Had a doubt regarding Coomb's test ... Coombs test is for detecting of incomplete IgG antibodies ( sometimes IgA ) ... In Waldenstrom's macroglubulinemia there is abundance of monoclonal IgM antibodies which are complete type... Why they would require coomb's serum for producing visible agglutination in saline medium ?
Can you help me with the overproduction of antibodies destroying red blood cells Agglutenin- Hot or Cold. What makes the red blood cells burst from the attachment of antibodies? And what makes the body overproduce antibodies?
@@sabasagliker5599 Good question to ask yourself Is there any IgM in IVIG? Does the excess IgM from WM suppress other antibodies and if it does how does that affect your immune response?
Wait excuse me you said the type of anemia associated with Waldenstrom macroglobunemia is Cold Autoimmune Hemolytic anemia. I get that because of IgM involved making it autoimmune but what about when you mentioned now Normocytic normochromic anemia I don't get that sir I am little bit confused now 😭😭😭.Please explain to me now what is the difference or similarity by the way your videos are much nicer than lecturio or osmosis
Just rewatched this. Always a good refresher, but I have a quick question. You mentioned that HSM is less likely in IgM MM compared to WM, but you could still get it in IgM MM if you have extra-medullary hematopoiesis due to suppression of the BM, correct?
Hallo! Thank you for the videos - they are really helpful! In the "Lab"-Slide you mention the serum viscosity as one of the Lab test. I am from Germany and I work in the Lab and I have hardly heard of this test before, it´s not used here for the the diagnosis or monitoring the WM. Is this Test a routine practise in USA and with what method ist it performed? Is it used for diagnosis or only for monitoring? What about the quantitative IgM measurement in serum?
I was diagnosed with Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma and Anemia. Is Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma the same thing as Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia? Thank you for your time.
