i love meerschaum pipes so much , they are so awesome, and really for the work that goes into them i do not think they are that expensive, you can find them for a few hundred dollars, and sometimes they can get very high up into the 500-700$ but those are usually huge and very well carved, but like a regular full bend billiard pipe ive seen them sold for 150$ imo that is very affordable for something that will last longer than you will. so i personally think any meerschaum pipe (the real ones from turkey, not the ground meerschaum thats pressed into shape) that is 150-300$ is very affordable. i mean it costs me 100 dollars to fill my trucks gas tank up and its empty again in a week, lol a pipe will last forever.
Without affordable pipe tobacco, due to stupid anti-smoking laws, a huge amount of people all over the world will loose their livelihoods. These are small family owned businesses, and nothing like the cigarette industry. So we must protect our freedom, to be able to choose for ourselves, if we want to smoke a pipe or a cigar. Cigarettes are dangerous, but pipes and cigars are not. So it isn't right to put them all in the same pot.
