I have the 1400 lithium. I love it! For powering the minimum of household needs I would go with (at least) something capable of 2000 watts. Anything smaller will not go very far. The 3,000 yeti will be very nice, clean and low maintenance, but for that money you can get a nice Honda portable inverter that will outperform a battery. The advantage of the Yetis is no fumes, gas or oil.
Need something that's automatic and can buffer my selected circuits while my Gas generator turns on. Currently I have UPS's at each critical circuit to sustain the load while the generator cranks and the ATO switches over. Would like to replace with central battery like Yeti that provides but with NO power interruption or manual involvement. Good start though.
Hello Alex, this is good for the short term. I would make reference to the power loss in pushing the power for the distances within a home (more for full disclosure). To maximize the finite power that I have in my various GZ power supplies. I keep my Yeti 1250 next to the fridge, Yeti 400 in the kitchen, master bedroom and children's room (3x400). Being that I love math, may you please provide a breakdown as to typical power loss in the Home Integration Kit vs having separate Yeti devices powering individual or more items. Proud owner of Yeti 1400, 1250, 400x4,150x2, Sherpa 100, 50, 40x2, 15x5, Venture 30x2, Flip 30x3, 20x3, Mini Lighthouse, Lighthouse 400x2, Torch, Light a Life x6, Light a Life v2 x6, Boulder 30 x4 (Tripod), Nomad 20, 7 x4, Guide10Plus x2, Luna Light x9 and more.
me too - GZ seems to have stopped short of making this system be an auto switch over for power outages. That is such an easy thing to do like every UPS battery has built in and GZcould still provide the manual cut-off as an over-ride.
hi nice video- Are you saying there is absolutely zero Lithium vapor escape? I have 7 yr old who is deathly allergic to lithium vapor- so please tell me the truth-
@@goalzero I dropped my goal zero yeti 200x and dinged the case where the wall charger/ solar plugs in. Is it ok to open the plastic case to check the battery inside is intact? It still works but I'm a bit nervous.
Mariusz Pierog totally agree you can do the same set up with the propane powered generator without needing to charge batteries and the fuel last indefinitely
Great move/addition GZ.
Interesting to see the rise of these small scale components into the realm of other more commonly known large-scale options.

Perfect addition to your product line.

Looks promising. Is there a system to back up my heating system?
a woodstove
How long will does a Yeti3000 keep a full-size refrigerator on?
Can it be installed in the UK and Ireland?
We have partners in the UK - please look here: www.goalzero.com/dealer-locator
Wish we had these in Australia, shame the distributer here is useless.
At this price I expected the switching would be automatic.

Hi Lee,
Both our lead acid and lithium batteries are sealed which is why they're safe to use indoors.

Alex Henry is Cute!
Yes the price is high, but paying for high quality guarantee life lasting " How many times do you want to buy it"
Awesome
awesome
Goal zero vs the rest. Goal zero wins
Love that!
Still super overpriced. How many Ah you got on it?
Mariusz Pierog yep
yeah, similar to the panels - but better quality and superb customer service may be the difference vs alternatives.

You had me until that "14 gauge" "power" cord. Too mickey mouse
