From what I could see, she was fading fast as the match went on. Zheng grew more confident and made better shots. Could Andreeva win their next match? Of course. But she didn't show me anything that would say her next match against Zheng would be hers. It's definitely up for grabs.
@@Ironfangzu The thing I saw was the Zheng had the crowd on her side which Mirra wasn’t emotionally and mentally capable of coping with. That’s what made the difference. On the flip side Zheng will be much more focused without the crowd.
After listening to a few podcasters yesterday many so called pundits and crystal ball predictors had Sabalenka and Andreeva winning their matches! I couldn't see those results no matter how hard I tried! Sabalenka wasn't playing an opponent that pounded the ball from the base line which she Sabalenka will over power most of her opponents.. Muchova had a lot more variety in her game and she uses the court angles brilliantly, which would have Sabalenka rushing a lot! Plays on the run not being her strong suit! I saw an upset🤔As Muchova was a dangerous opponent for Sabalenka! With Zheng and Andreeva I saw Zheng a slow starter falling behind early! But her accuracy and seemingly effortless knack in retrieving lots of balls would frustrate any opponent! With her ball placements, mixed with a few drop shots and powerful ground strokes would be too much for young Andreeva, who as expected with most young players gets frustrated easily! Andreeva have the game to be a top ten player and with a few more deep runs in future tournaments and a little experience in curbing her temperament will be a handful in the future! Congratulations to Zheng👏🎉..she played an awesome game and showed great poise even when down or behind in the match!

Interestingly, Zhen has often lost the 1st set, then come back and won.
