Hey Lukas, I'm a proud Presonus Featured Artist and I am really grateful for your work! Thank you! I just wanted to hop in and mention a couple of things that would be nice to have in a future script. 1) Keyboard shortcut to select the input trim gain (with an argument to select how much gain - really needed to use this in macros, but it's currently missing) 2) A selectable argument for the 'Zoom To Selection' command, to allow us to determine how much zoom we want to use for that command. (I love this command because it's a toggle, but exactly for that reason, any action after that command, cancels the toggle). I feel like the zoom is always too deep and would love to have the possibility to choose how much zoom will happen when using this toggle command. Merry Christmas!👋
Again, great video and great work for all S1 users, who don't have the time or whatever to spend so many time amd effort to make the best of S1. I've been a Cubase user since Steinberg Twelve, Changed over to Logic, a long time ago, switched back to Cubase till version 10.5 Pro , I had a Tascam DM4800, connected by firewire, but had some troubles with it, in combination with Cubase. So I decided, (lot of money) selling my DM4800, and interfaces, selling my Cubase License, bought a StudioLive 64S and Studio One and an Atom SQ. Glad I did it! I had some troubles after some Windows updates with S1, but all is running fine right now. Low latency, performance meter on the low end against Cubase. But I like your video's cause there is so many information and great explanation about the subjects.
Thanks Rich!! You might like the "Show Tracks with Selected Events" function for orchestral work, I didn't think the feature would turn out to be so useful for me. Merry Christmas!
As of February 11th, 2022, the macros are not under Presonus Exchange\Macro Pages\Studio One Scripts\Navigation Essentials, but under Presonus Exchange\Macro Pages\LR Scripts\Navigation Essentials
Great scripts. I am waiting for scrolling frames for composing for film / video in studio one a long time and thought about switching back to Logic. Video ( Player) in Studio one are a little pain. Thx a lot .
wow, have to get this just for the 'audition notes' shortcuts. coming from ableton to S1, this is one so small thing that has been driving me insane did i understand it correctly that the script and the macro toolbar are 2 different things? if i just want the audition notes shortcut, can i skip the toolbar install? additionally, just to be safe, would this be easy to uninstall in the future? (one just never knows if these stay compatible, depending on future updates)
The script add-on and the macro toolbar used to be two separate downloads but with the current version of the add-on, the macro toolbar will be automatically installed with the add-on. So as long as the add-on is installed, the macro toolbar will be in your list. And yes, you can easily go to Studio One -> Studio One Extensions, select "Navigation Essentials" and choose "Uninstall".
Good day I did everything but it didn’t work for me I’m not seeing the link in the macro pages folder. An every time I go to re install it the program says it’s installed but I don’t see it. So what should I do at this point?
Do you mean in the Studio One Browser? You need enter "Navigation Essentials" into the search field at the top (click the magnifier if it's not visible). Does this work for you?
I keep getting this message when I try any method to install: "This File does not have a valid signature." I'm running v5 on windows 10.. Any ideas why? thx

Hello Lukas, thank you for the great content. I was wondering if there is a publicly available documentation resource for Studio One 5 scripting. I would like to create some of my own scripts but have yet to find any kind of API documentation.
@@studioonetutorials Do you know any reason why no one has publicly contributed to a wiki or any public documentation? Is there anything you could share with us?
@@studioonetutorials There does appear to be some very limited public information on forums on how to build these scripts. You seem to have a much deeper knowledge. Is this something you'd be willing to share with the public? Since you worked with PreSonus, are you legally obligated not to share what you know? Adobe AfterEffects, Photoshop, and other professional apps have thriving plugin/extentions/scripts communities. @@shableep The information available is due to the scripts included with Studio One. I developed the MIDI / Note functions in Studio One 4.5 back then so I know the API.
