What's interesting is that they play the game as if they're curious and haven't seen it before, but are an absolute god when it gets to the combat portions

The scene where they kill the Mobster who's girlfriend left him is so goddamn sad. I know he was a stone cold killer but damn, why'd you have to do my dude like that?
I know right, I felt the same way.
That was a moment to remember. Although - seeing the fans meet their end made me sad as well.
He also has a cat at home. The cat probably starved to death waiting for the henchman to come back home

With the show invincible bringing even more violent animated series into light I would love to see a whole animated series of Hotline Miami. They could even change up the ending instead of it being a nuke that kills everyone.

@@RainyxGames yeah I'd definitely change up some of the characters dying though. All the gang dying in that one Russian mob hit feels like a little bit of a waste of them. I'd probably have it that there is a riot as Jacket is in court and they free him and it all ends in one big meet up of all the characters where all hell breaks loose.

Thanks for this. I have been struggling so much with the level around 1:31:25 Tried different approaches but I always end up dead. Now I see I just need to go all guns blazing and move at lightning speed. You have some amazing skills at this game!

It takes a lot of practice, you have to move and shoot aggressively but accurately. If the analog stick's too touchy for you try playing with a mouse, and if you have trouble reacting fast with a mouse try playing with an analog stick.
@@chemergency thanks. I ended up doing the level and completing the game shortly after. Went back and finished Miami 1 afterwards too . Got really good at unarmed combat, using doors, fists etc at pretty good speeds. Not a game I feel I could platinum though. Don't have time for the level mastery required.

If you die on the third floor of withdrawal the Russian mobsters capture and execute you. Here he actually beat the floor and got the other cutscene

If they made this into a full 3d game it'd be bangin. It's still amazing, the storyline and 80s aesthetic is encapsulating.

@@94oddy Yea the 70s Vietnam, (Even Tho they say it was a Hawaii operation in the game) Special Ops pov is pretty dope. Plus how it leads to cartels n gangs, that were possibly funding the same operations they were dealing with in they're service yrs. This game has its own independent potential.

I’m fairly new to playing the game myself. Let me just say, HOLY FUCK! This gameplay blew me away, the way he knows where every enemy is, the skill in his aiming and movement, its all just amazing. I love watching this.
It took me over 1,000 deaths (a trophy at 1,000 lol) to get almost that good

This game is so hard, you're constantly hitting that R for restart. I thought that I had almost won the game but I'm only 1:14 in, got a long way to go. Ideally this game would just let you go ahead and REWIND instead of needing to restart the entire levels every single damn time, it is taking me like an hour to get through each one!
Wow you suck, no offense lol but yea this my first time playing something like this and Im in the 3rd act and this only my second day playing it, but boy I did die a lot before I became decent 😂
I have to thank you for uploading your gameplay of both hotline miami games. my boyfriend has been out of town so to help me sleep I've been watching no commentary videos of their favorite games, since I'm used to dozing off while watching them play. I fell asleep to hotline miami 1 yesterday, and today I'm going for number 2! but don't worry, I'll be back for more, hotline miami is my favorite too :)

They both do lead to the next chapter, but Interacting with either of them will also affect Evan's outcome during the end of the game.

I like this game a lot, the only con I have with it is its bleak as fuck ending. But that’s the kind of storytelling it uses, so there’s not much to object to about it. I have actually come to like the ending, though.
so i literally just finished watching both of your playthroughs through hotline 1 & now 2, and, im extremely confused about the bonus mission at the end....isnt that the guy who was writing the story about the dude who shot jacket? what is he doing at this 50 blessings crack den, why is horse chicken and owl dudes there in the room, and why do they crap their pants when writer walks in? and then who are all these people that writer guy is rampaging through after? and what happens after you kill all the guys? what was the point of that mission? was it just an easter egg and not canon? omg my brain hurts so much i dont get it >_< awesome playthroughs tho, I have now subbed to your channel after binging both of those and am looking forward to more awesome lets plays!

Jacket is only seen in the beginning in the courthouse
If only there was another secret level: Change Fate. Taking place during the coup attack, you play as an officer defending against the attackers, it ends with you in the vain attempt to save the Russian President, killing the coup leader while taking the shots. The president urged his cabinet that there is one alternative to a nuclear war; to repair relations between US and Russia, all members of the 50 Blessings group must die, along with those who were in direct contact with them.
The ending was changed:
Richter is shown the agreement between US and television; his life and that of others to save millions from annihilation. With that, he is gunned down by Russian and FBI agents.
Evan composes his final goodbye to his family or finishes his book. Then he is taken by FBI and Russian agents.
Pardo has his house breached and he is overwhelmed by the agents.
The movie actress is shown the gun with the live bullet casing given by 50 Blessings then is arrested.
Jacket is strapped to a pole and with the hand signal, executed by firing squad.
Presumably, the surviving major characters are sacrificed to save the rest of the Country. By the end, 50 Blessings was all but thoroughly purged from the US, their plot came close but the sacrifice of an officer in the coup undid everything.
Addictive game.. I played 10 or 12 times, but never get satisfied.

I don't know how I feel about this game compared to the first one. The music is fine and it doesn't repeat like so many of the songs from the first one did, but the songs themselves aren't as good in my opinion. And I also think it's absurd how many people you play as that are all capable of taking on small armies of people by themselves. I figured it made sense for Jacket since he was a former special ops soldier, and it could make sense for the fans since they're not really doing it alone, they're doing it together, but Evan? Why is he so good that he can nonlethally subdue a bunch of mobsters by himself, which takes more skill than just killing them would?

the trick is to use smg's to lead large groups of enemies and catch them in corridors, shotguns for fat dudes and/or long always, prioritise guns,conserve ammo and keep moving
