The city council has destroyed the charm that Gallatin used to have! Overgrowth of apartments and zero lot line houses! The roads cannot handle the traffic and crime has risen a lot!!! I have lived in Gallatin since 1980 and I can't wait to move and never look back!!!
Gallatin isn’t a small town anymore, it’s definitely not built to be a city. However with the huge amount of people moving here has raised the cost of living by a lot since 2010, (understand inflation is a thing ofc) but it’s sad once (as a little girl) seeing Gallatin have this rare charm, and it be city washed by a city council trying to compact as many buildings as they possibly can, where you once could find an affordable home and surrounded or at least beside a small farm; is rare now. The new construction is sad, and the roads are absolutely not built to handle it, nor do they actually get fixed in the areas need be instead of nice neighborhoods. I digress, think about somewhere else probably.
Starting a new job for 46 Logistics there, coming from Dallas Tx Not looking for a house for now, just a very nice apartment from 1800, as a truck driver not going to be home as much, and I am single. I am use to up scale apartment living. Where should I be looking ?
The downtown area is anything but vibrant

Not to be racist, but I did not hear anything or see anything about the black side of Gallatin and there is nothing to do here
