First Anniversary of Kabul Gurdwara Attack - Vikramjit Singh Sahney gives
Health Insurance for Refugees

First anniversary of the deadly Kabul Gurdwara attack last year on 25th March in which 26 Sikhs were killed was observed at Afghan Gurdwara in West Delhi. A special memorial Kirtan and Ardas was held at Gurdwara Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, New Mahavir Nagar in memory of these devotees killed last year. On this occasion Padma Shri, Shri Vikramjit S. Sahney, Chairman Sun Foundation handed over the Medial & Health Insurance policies to all Afghan refugees.
Earlier all the remaining 500 Hindu and Sikh families from Afghanistan were brought to India by special chartered flights arranged by Padma Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney.
A programme entitled “My Family My Responsibility” was started by Sr. Dilip Singh Sethi & Sr. Paramjit Singh Bedi of USA along with Vikramjit Singh Sahney, International President of World Punjabi Organisation to rehabilitate these Afghan refugee families in Delhi by providing them houses, furniture, monthly household expenses and education for their children.
Vikramjit S. Sahney, who is also Chairman of Sun Foundation have also started skilling the children of these Afghanis in World Class Skill Centre set up at Hari Nagar so that the kith and kin of these refugees can earn their livelihoods.
