Decorate & Garden On A Budget | Thrift Shopping For A Garden!

- Hello beautiful people! In today's video we are visiting a local Goodwill to see if we can find a few more thrifty goodies for the "Romantic Feeding Station" garden project. I have been working on this area in my back yard for the past few weeks, and it's a joy to bring this serene garden station to life. As usual, I prefer to thrift for my items- inside and outside of my home! Secondhand is the way to go to save money and create a beautiful scape on a budget. Most of this garden decor was found through thrifting, and some was even gifted to me for free(the lovely faux stone planters and black bench), which is such a blessing! I also look for plants in the clearance section at the garden centers, and will repot or move plants I already have. :)
Here is the link for the book that I used as the plans for this "Romantic Feeding Station" garden project: amzn.to/3NlAh4B
Here are the instructions for building your own teacup bird feeders:
1. Use ceramic glue to attach the teacups to the saucers and allow glue to dry.
2. Turn the saucers upside down (with the cup attached) and attach several 1-inch pieces of Velcro to the bottom of each saucer. Stick to the corresponding Velcro pieces to the top of the patio table and attach the saucers to the table.
3. Fill the cups with safflower seeds and millet, or with suet and/or your choice of other bird foods.
Thank you for being here! Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts and feedback.
With Love,
Monica

Thats funny. I just went to a couple thrift stores looking for things for my flowerbeds and porch. Didnt find a thing! You had some cute ideas :)
Hi Johanna! Thank you! 🥰 It really does depend on the day, huh? Sometimes I don’t find much of anything! Lol.
@@MonicaBazemore wondering how you made the bird bath???
@@justjohanna7
It was a thrift flip project and it’s in this video: th-cam.com/video/pytv_fe7-_I/w-d-xo.html
I can’t take credit for actually making the whole thing!😁Although I’d love to do that someday!
The romantic feeding station is soooo adorable!! The birds will love it!
Thank you, Sabrina!🥰 I’m happy to report that the birds have finally started to enjoy the area after a few days of avoiding/being suspicious of it.😆😍
@@MonicaBazemore that’s wonderful! Mine do the same thing when something is new!
Thank you so much ending with scripture! 💕💕💕
That's just super cute. Great ideas. Btw I love the Mommy Mommy Mama 😊
Thank you, Carla!🤩 I was going to edit around that, but left it in because it’s real life these days and definitely funny to hear! Lol.
Watching your video now I know what I picked up at a thrift store months ago. It was A plate rack. And I was trying to figure out how to use it with my plants.
@@susanm2304 They are so lovely to use for decorating! That will look neat.💚
This is lovely! I would recommend glue E6000 instead of Velcro for weather durability.
Thank you!🩷 And yes, that would have been a much better choice. The Velcro lasted about one rainstorm. Haha.
@MonicaBazemore, I think the Velcro is a good option, if you choose to use the cups indoors in the future.😊
I love that pottery planter.
Thank you! I love it too🥰
Love your table for the birds so super pretyyyyyy..💕💕💕🩷🤍🤍🤍✨✨✨👌👌👌👌
Thank you so much!🥰
Adorable, fresh new ideas👍
Thank you so much! 🥰
Love ❤ your ideas!
Thank you, friend!🥰
Very nice🤗
Thank you so much! 🥰
love this
Thank you!😍
Help! I need ideas for concrete core samples 😂
I was in Florida on vacation and my nana said “I pick these up all the time…what can we do with them” and she takes me to a bin by the roadside near a concrete company that has a sign that said “free”. So we picked up all we could carry!
The obvious is to line a garden bed but I have none that are small enough to be able to fully go around it. So….ideas for these?
You might be able to make a ton of bird bath’s with those. You could use them as the base and thrift for some bowls/dishes for the tops.
Another idea is some type of garden sculpture or base for a fountain.⛲️
Cute!
🥰Thank you!
I love it ❤️🌹❤️
Thank you, friend! ❤️
Have u made one of those small water recycling bird bubblers yet?
No, but that sounds like something I need to check out!😁
THE TEA CUP WITH BIRD FOOD UNLESS ITS OUT OF THE RAIN DONT BOTHER.
I have a few bird feeding areas that r fully exposed to water but I dont find that to b an issue for me. Yes its annoying that the food gets wet but i toss it on d ground n the squirrels n birds still come n eat it.
@@yvonnecortes_ MORE WHEN BIRDS DO EAT IT WHEN WET CAN CAUSE HEARTH Issues, just saying a person who breeds wildlife. A lot of people would not know this 🥰
Use a battery candle and no one gets hurt.
I like both!
☀️
Thank you for watching!
Please plant flowers for the bees birds and butterflies 🖤 bird seed feeders too bird baths too
We sure do! We have them in abundance around our yard. Stay tuned for a video coming soon with a fun project all about that!🩷
Why would you take tea cups and ruining a set of dishes?
They are from goodwill.
There are plenty to find at the thrift store. You could always opt for something else for the birds to enjoy their seeds in. The book I got the inspiration for this project from used tea cups, so I did too!
❤❤❤❤❣️😊
😁Thank you, friend!
Cute, but lit candles outside for wildlife...questionable.
That was just to give the romantic feel to the “after” shots. 😁 Although, citronella candles (while supervised) may be an outdoor option!
…..it’s not as if you leave a candle lit unless you’re outside with it. Dang lol.
Blow it out when u go inside. I don’t think the wildlife will mind the smell
I saw some matches to my granny’s china🥹. It’s behind those big fake candles.
😍Aw, that’s so neat!
