Nature is the great healer for sure, can't blame her for following her dreams and getting back to nature, a lot of us need more of this in our lives.

This is such a good video. Thank you for posting it. I've been having a little pity party because my SUV doesn't have as much room as a minivan. Seeing how she's making her car work has shown me how privileged I've become. I have created a tiny house in my SUV and it still wasn't enough. I needed this lack of gratitude check. Thanks again.

A reminder that we cannot allow our happiness to be dictated by external circumstances. Our mental well being dictates the results of what we manifest around us.
“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.”

If you got the funds maybe you can rent a cheap Airbnb, sell the SUV, and find a mini van. It's not lack of gratitude, it's comfort and knowing what you need to feel comfortable. I've stayed for short periods in a car and SUV and for me it feels like being homeless compared to the Chevy van i have now where i can do everything inside instead of having to open doors to a packed vehicle to get anything done. All the fawning comments are going to give people a false sense of what it's really like out there being in such a cramped space so i left a comment that hopefully the right people who need it see it that with just a couple weeks of planning and preparing they should move up to at the least a mini van otherwise car living is going to start to take a toll on you.

@@pfftwhut7638 I think different things work for different people. My son was in a Corolla for five years and he was fine. He said he would never rent an apartment again. Now he's a truck driver. I can do everything in my SUV, including sitting up in the back, cooking, etc. I have a 6-cube storage unit plus storage under my platform. I want the extra room that comes with a minivan but I'm not hurting for space. Because I'm ok in my SUV, I'm actually being really picky about the minivan I get. I want a higher trim, new AWD Sienna so I'm going to stay in my SUV until I find one. There are also people who love living in their Prius. It's just what's right for the individual.

Bob, not sure I will ever be a full time nomad but I have always wanted to travel. I left the Monday after Easter 2022 from Pennsylvania and drove all the way to California pulling my little 10 foot fiberglass camper. I went to as many National Parks as I could on the way out and on the way back. 6.5 weeks later I am now about 300 miles from my home town. Watching every one of your videos over the past 3 years has given me the skills, equipment and the courage to finally make that dream a reality. What an amazing trip!!! Thank you so much for all you do for the nomadic community and also for those of us who have a dream but are too afraid to take that leap of faith and just GO!!!!

    • @vastirvision
      @vastirvision 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

How many National Parks did you get to see?! So many people dream of doing what you describe. I bet it felt great to accomplish that. I enjoyed reading your story.
I did something similar myself; I left from Michigan and started driving west with my old camper to go skiing and visit national parks. It was 2 years ago I first left actually, in 2020. I haven’t really been back since! I just visited Crater Lake National Park in Oregon this week, which was number 9 for me! Thanks for telling us a bit about your adventure!

The discomfort that you have living in your car is a learning curve and the experience will help you. You won't be in this vehicle for long. You will have one more vehicle before you get your class B. 💖🌟P.s I call my crystals 'baby' too.

She could easily configure a full length bed in there. I live in a saloon/sedan car. Skoda Octavia Mk2. The bed runs from behind the passenger seat where my head goes down into the boot / trunk where my feet go under the parcel shelf. I had to take out the rear seat and fold the back rest down. It's great to watch these videos though because you always pick up a few useful ideas. I have a 150w inverter but no power station or leisure battery, so that is something I want to address. Have just sorted an indoor toilet too! 😅

I started out living in a 01 Camry by removing rear seat backs leaving the bottom & put a plywood platform into the trunk.with a Flap extending out when front seats are pushed all the way forward. The Avalon is based on the Sienna platform so it's very roomy except headroom.i went into a Honda Odyssey & now in a small suv.RVs & Cargo vans & Sprinters are in no way stealth.living in a sedan or mini van or suv will never get the knock!I watch the E150s & Sprinters & Box Trucks get tossed from Walmarts as I go back to sleep.I also lived in a 95 Corolla.I suggest removing rear seat wt feet into trunk.these builds removing front passenger seat are narrow & not stealth.

This video has given me back hope that I'd lost. Everything was going great, I dreamed of traveling and teaching the natural building skills I'd learned w my husband and two dogs. Sold the house, bought a used RV that "just needed break lines". Due to supply chain issues a part we needed took 6 months. That meant renting an apartment month to month. Finding a temp job and getting really depressed. Finally the part came and I gave my two weeks notice, and let our landlord know this would be our last month. Last week I came home from my last day of work to find my husband had left me. He'd been working in another state and making the bulk of our income the previous two months. I got $200 and note making whatever lame excuse. I was beyond shocked and devastated The house money is gone. The RV has more problems than had been foreseeable. I have been truly beside myself thinking my only option was to go back to a 60hr a week corporate nightmare and start saving again. But I've still got my conversion van (thank the universe I didn't sell her). Maybe there is still hope for the dogs and I to live the dream if I just adjust my plans a bit.
For anyone who reads all this... Thank you. I don't have a family to turn to, and my few friends thought I was crazy to begin with. I need some new brakes and tires on the van but that's in the realm of affordable. I'm going to check out the caravan and the dogs & I might just see you on the road.
Thank you so much for the inspiration. Best of luck!!!!!

Successful living is not about making everything go perfectly to plan or achieving the exact goals you set for yourself in exactly the way you envisioned.
It is about getting back on your feet and continuing forward just as many times as life knocks you down and being grateful for the strength to do so. That might seem harsh, but it is true. Ask any successful person you know and you'll find they got knocked down and had to get back up, usually several times, before they succeeded. They also had to adjust their plans multiple times due to unforseen complications.
You already have a van you can live in and an RV you can sell. You worked toward your goal. You researched how to live in your van. All you have to do now is adjust your plan and move forward.
      You got this.

You’ve inspired me. I’m 58 and I too have considered simplifying my life but I don’t have enough savings or credit to buy a big van or motor home but I own my 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. If I can’t get hud-vash or habitat to help me when my rent jumps to 1000 a month for my little duplex in December, I may just get in my car and drive west. I would want to be in a caravan or maybe a community like bob did a show on recently. I just want to live cheap so I don’t have to spend all my remaining hours chasing money

    Updated:
I just happened to see your channel, and others similar channels recently, and I think that you, and others sharing their actual reality, and some have expressed some of the up, and down sides to van, RV, or vehicle living.
I believe that it is very helpful, and beneficial to others who may be thinking about this type of living without actually thinking through, about the some of the realistic problems that could occur with vehicle or van living etc.
People need to know what up sides there are, as well as some of the down sides of vehicle living.
I believe this channel, and other channels have been informative to others, including myself.
Although, I am NOT living in a vehicle or anything like this.
I feel that you , and others TH-camrs sharing this with your viewers will be very helpful.
I wish you ALL the Best with your traveling endeavors.
I shared this with another traveler as I watched their TH-cam channel for the first time, as yours, and I shared with them this information that may be helpful to you as well to others.
Therefore, I would also like to suggest a few Safety tips, and items that may help you, or others in your viewing audience.
Although, you may have knowledge of this already,
I am not sure, so I hope this will be helpful to you, others or someone.
*Keep a Extra working cellphone with you or in your vehicle.
You can purchase inexpensive phone with a very low monthly price between 25, 35, 45, dollars a month with unlimited data and text, and some have Nationwide coverage
Do your research for the best fit for you
Carry Several Extra portable phone chargers, and cables.
    Consider theses items:
    *Mini portable power charging station.
I have also seen outdoor portable solar powered power stations, that can be recharged from sunlight this may be very useful to have, to power your devices.
*Cellular signal booster for outdoor use, and camping situations to boost or amplify your cell reception,
Research to see what you prefer.
    *Very Inportant:
Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location.
There are various types of these devices, and including devices that can be used when boating or camping situations.
*Some have emergency Strobe lights SOS signaling with location alerts, and location updates that can be sent to your family, and emergency first responders.
Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone.
You can check online, and on Amazon, research what SOS devices will be a good fit for you.
*Mini portable vehicle battery jumper charger
    *vehicle battery jumper cables
    *Vehicle Jumper cables
    *Keep a Fire extinguisher handy
*Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly.
    Exterior vehicle cameras
    Interior vehicle cameras
    *Flashlights or pluggin spotlights
    *Portable spotlights, and lanterns
Keep a few whistles around with you, and in your vehicle possibly in your vehicle’s center console
*A set of long range 2 way radios, walkie talkies, with others during trips, some have 100 mile radius keep for emergencies.
Use your own discretion regarding the use of any weapons.
    Don’t forget to bring
    Bear Spray
    Pepper spray
    Where is allowed
If you own a drone you can use it to survey your area for animals etc.
However, Please Be Safe and Beware of your Surroundings.
Keep in often contact with your family, friends etc.
Although, I just noticed your TH-cam channel, and other similar channels.
You seem Very Aware of your surroundings and Alert, and you may be aware of many of these suggestions, however, I Don’t know, so I just posted this anyway to help anyone who may benefit from these suggestions.
Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions.
    Keep your vehicle gas filled
Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty.
Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on.
Remember to keep up on routine maintenance, check your tires for wear, keep up with your fluids for your vehicle, like oil levels, washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze.
Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors.
    Keep Enjoying Yourself,
Keep Enjoying the outdoors, and Nature
    Just..Please continue to
    Be Positive, Safe, and Alert..
Wishing Success, Well-being and Happiness You All.
    God Bless You, and everyone
Traveling, or living in their vehicles, Vans, RVs, etc.

What a beautiful young lady. It's so cool she took the leap and got out of the rat race and became a Nomad. Meditating and living out in nature will help enhance her psychic abilities. I wish her the best and hope she has a beautiful journey as a Nomad. ❤❤❤

Always interesting to see people’s setups with smaller vehicles. I car camp in my ‘97 VW Passat. But I folded the back seats down, have a piece of plywood that helps level out the pass though and the trunk area. A cabelas foam pad on top of that, and then normal bedding. There was also a metal piece covered in carpet that helped fill a gap between the pass through, so I had to cut that out so I wouldn’t be squeezed in to an awkward sleeping situation. For me that’s a preferred method if you can to just fold the seats down instead of removing the passenger seat, if your car allows that of course. Also use an Aeusiny solar generator with 100w panel, or a 15w flexible panel with a battery pack.

My husband and I lived on a 45ft sailboat for a year. I loved it. It felt like a little cocoon especially when it rained otherwise when sunny it was lovely outside looking at the water. Only thing I disliked was having to do the laundry at a laundromat. I think in many ways it was like living as a nomad. Best wishes to all you nomads on your travels.

Things are tough. People wanna save money and not be swamped by paying a high rent. This goes to show you don’t need an rv/van to pull this off!!

I am absolutely fascinated by small car/sedan nomad living. Elissa said she want to put a rooftop storage box on top of the car-great idea for extra storage. I see that she has a privacy tent for a toilet set up. Great. But what does she do when she has to "go", per say like stealth camping when there are not any public toilets available. A toilet is the number one need. That is unless you drive around wearing adult diapers. You can sleep in your seat for a few nights until you build your bed. You can buy a cooler/refrig later. The toilet is an immediate must have. Best wishes to Elissa.
