Some chef recommend water ratio 1:2 for direct gas cooking. whereas you recommend 1: 1.5 for direct gas cooking. I do not know Which one to follow ?

Normal rice 1:2 and basmathi rice 1:1.5
For basmathi rice 1:1.5 ...for normal rice 1:2....
I follow 1 to 1.5 ratio. It comes very well. But you should compulsory soak rice for 25 to 30mins.
