- Srila Prabhupada had many very successful preaching engagements during his visits to Australia, however this was not the case at Melbourne's Latrobe University.
The Australian ISKCON devotees organized a speaking engagement for Prabhupada at Latrobe University but this was a time when there were a lot of communist agitators and born again Christians at the university. So Srila Prabhupada attempted to explain the science of Krishna consciousness to the students however there were many interruptions by communists and one particular born again Christian, who was getting quite a bit of support and encouragement from the audience.
Overall this was a very unfavorable audience and put Srila Prabhupada and the devotees into a very difficult position. Apparently there were actual physical fights also between the devotees and agitators outside the hall, we do not have that on the film.
So this is a very interesting documentary about a not so successful preaching engagement.

My heart breaks at how my beloved Srila Prabhupada was treated but Srila Prabhupada was SO graceful and peaceful and loving through it all.
Yes I only heard snippets of how Srila Prabhupada was treated when he arrived to the USA and he was definetly tested time and time again but that has happened to him even before arriving to the USA actually . His whole life blows my mind , Srila Prabhupada was a super strong man by the Grace of God .

I have to also say that the moderator was very eloquent presenting thought-provoking information which ultimately diffused the situation. I am not a Hare Krishna but it seemed that Srila Prabhupada was especially pleased that he had such a wonderful spokesman amoung his congregation.

well done. Krishna ppl showed me Love As a child in rural nz. Locals called them hippies. My did not cast them away. Those people 60 years later while many changed some remained krishna ppl. The majority became forthright people in community to 60 years later. I remember being loved by these people a love i never got anywhere else as a child. Well that Christian person in the crowd should understand that Swami Prapupada is not forcibly converting people to Christianity using force unlike colonial imposers.
Recently we saw news about Canada where hundreds of children graves has been discovered. I don't understand what kind of religion, what type of spirituality, what kind of cleansing these so called religious institutions have and what sort of heart and mindset their followers have. Can't they distinguish a simple human character which is love and respect. Then we see krishna consciousness movement. What prabhupada gives food to hungry ppl? Helps ppl to comes out of their addiction give them a reason to live. Never I mean never sanatan dharma ever oppressed others or ever joined the race of superiority. When other religious group believe in number of followers they have sanatan dharma believes living every single day of life fullest without comparing it with others bcuz then only u can get peace nd also offer it to others.
