My ex girlfriend had a special place within herself where she held this song dear. She ended her suffering by her own hand 12 years ago. I just found this tonight after wondering for a long time what the title and band were. I haven't heard it in 26yrs... I love you Mouse. And I'm sorry.
I’m so sorry man. I lost my best friend too to suicide. We will be where they are soon enough. Perhaps not from our hand, but we are all on the same train. Sending you some sympathy friend. I am sorry for your loss. I try to make the most of every day. They won’t last.
Not really this was the bridge from 80s indie into wha moneyt became seatle Grunge!oasis where a stone roses rip off act untill they where taken under the wing of Liverpool band 'the Real People' who they basically point blank ripped off which has always been a nagging guilt trip for them behind all the fame and the money!which was why the Griffiths brothers of the Real People ended up being forced to take Noel and co to a tribunal to get recompence for the production/vocal/writing work and input they gave to that first oasis album that got them signed to a big label aswell as a pretty face in Liam to sell to the girlies!
I got here from memory lane and an earworm. I got this album on cassette in 1995 when I lived at 13, Bathwick Street, Bath. There was an address of someone who once owned the cassette who lived in California. A couple of weeks later I looked out of my window and there was someone parked up on the opposite side of the road with California licence plates.
Love synchronicities like this. I walked past Bathwick St only today and my first visit to Bath was in 1995. TH-cam recommended this song I hadn’t heard in years….
Grant Lee Phillips has a true gift musically and lyrically. I'm usually not a fan of Acoustic Guitars, I love Heavy, buzzy sounding electric guitars. That's why my favorite Grant Lee Buffalo song is "Lone Star Song". I also love the last half of "Lady Godiva And Me". But I like the softer stuff like Mockingbird and the title track from "Mighty Joe Moon".
So fortunate to know these guys and see them play intimate clubs in LA and Silverlake. I watched them at the Troubadour standing next to Mike Mills and Peter Buck one night. They knew a good thing.
over 20 years...20 years I looked for this song. Heard it on MTV Alternative Nation back at the end of the 90's and it always stuck with me but I for the life of me could not remember the lyrics or the artist...then I heard it on the radio about a week ago :D there are some songs still lingering in my head from that era but I'm glad to scratch one of the list!
Oh my god it sucks you looked that long. I know the feeling because I’ve been in the same place with songs from other bands, but ya, Fuzzy is one of an entire album of criminally underrated 90s Americana greats that are nearly lost to time at this point. If you haven’t already done so just get GLB’s anthology. I’ve been a completist fan of GLB’s as long as you’ve been looking.
thx for the answers :) thinking back I always thought it was Buffalo Tom so I was relatively close I guess haha. Cause Buffalo Tom also had a couple of songs on Alternative Nation. Another lost to time clip of that show I think was Buffalo Tom where this blonde woman walks down the road slow motion in a black dress with runny mascara...i'll find it one day! :)
Jupiter and Teardrop also. Thanks Karin & G.L.Buffalo. Nog I m Almost 41 and I starten to play it @ my thirteen. Amazing ❤ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 . Mijn leven is veel anders gelopen zoals k t me heb voorgesteld. Verder ga k niet... good Luck and love and piece and rest. I have nog kids, no partner but I have my dog. Thx Buffalo
I saw Grant Lee Phillips in play a gig solo in the early 2000's....a small venue called the Corner Hotel in Melbourne. It was the most amazing gig I've seen. An unbelievable performance. It still gives me goosebumps.
Yep, and I'm shocked how the riff/hook is, but... Not surprised, as Noel has always been transparent about where he lifts his rifts, or inspired chords. 👍🏻
i remenber when this Lp came out ,i bought it after listening to the first 3 tracks ,stars´n´stripes is one of my favorite songs and as they released new Albums i bought them all ,grant lee philips solo Lp´s i heard them but not that good, and i saw them in Madrid with REM in the Monster tour, michael stipe favorite album at the time ,he said it in several interviews
I heard this song in the Netflix show "Brand New Cherry Flavor". This 8s one of those gems you completely forget about, but once you hear it the golden moment of genuine nostalgia hits and it's bliss.
Saw them playing at the Quart Festival in 1994. Blur and Elastica was headliner that day but Grant Lee Buffalo made a huge impression an have been a favourite band ever since that amazing day in 1994:-)
I found them in March 1995. I saw them when they opened for REM and was so impressed with them and remember distinctly just how Paul attacked that bass with such passion. (I was like, WHO IS THAT BLOND FIRERACKER?) Grant's voice is so butter. I saw them again when they opened for Smashing Pumpkins at Madison Square Garden then once more after Paul left when they played at the Beacon. I miss the sound Paul brought their songs and I know things must change and evolve and all but I didn't think there was anything wrong with the sound and would have enjoyed at least a couple more albums with what I call a "thunky" sound. It's like being wrapped in a warm blanket and just cocooned in there. I bought my 12 string acoustic just to play their songs on. :)
I just remember about when my ex girl broke up our relashionship.... .......i did stay listening this song all day long ..........shit!!!....memories remains!
How did I miss this in the 90’s? Beautiful. Thanks to Guy Garvey for playing.
These guys were phenomenal. Especially when you wanted to step away from the grunge and enjoy a bit of alternative Americana. Great band.
.. and the Verve Pipe

Grant Lee mtfks 'til the end of humanity... The proper heritage.. Love them.
Beautiful sad song. It's a masterpiece! culte of the 90's.
Some might say Noel ripped this off twelve different ways 😉
ironic that an ad played at the start using She's Electric!
🤣
Ha! that's what brought me here!

@@ThomasBlakely-jd3ms You should probably have a bath by now.
First band on stage at the Reading Festival 1993. I have never forgotten how great they were.
Just me crying to this song over and over
Just brilliant, and such a beautiful voice. Sounds like Lana Del Ray paid some attention.
Wow, what a great shout! I’d love to hear her cover this!
@@raddimusmcchoyber3362That would be absolutely amazing.
Wow, what a tune. Thanks, Noel.
Some might say this is inspirational.
The inspiration for Some Might Say by Oasis 👌🏻 their first No 1 hit single in the UK.
Always puts me in a good mood when I hear this tune Fuzzy is such a quality album brings back good memories from the 90s
Sometimes a song comes along that you will always play. This is so one of them.
Saw them play this in 1992, great gig. Brilliant live.
'How 90's do you want the video to look?'
GLB: Yeah...
The trailer set and lighting is so great.

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, MY NEW ANTHEM.
this breaks my heart, love it in fairness
I saw these guys do a fantastic set back in 1994 opening up for Pearl Jam. I have been a fan ever since. This song is mesmerizing.
Grant Lee Buffalo and Pearl jam in the same concert, must have been just mind-blowing

This song is so very hypnotic
What is this song... Too beautiful, make me cry
Just dug out the cassette version for a replay
Fuzzy? ☺️
Wath a fuckin'song !
I was so young... world was so beautifull...
Love, tears, drugs & so many other things !
this is simply revelatory in a ethereal fashion. thank you.
The olympia dublin, fella ran down the stairs and jumped into joey peters drumkit, i'll never forget. Amazing amazing song.
Love this xx
Class
totally cool....their music is rad.....
A very great song from the 90's.
amazing
Very appropriate in this era...have never heard it but love the beautiful softness it has and its message.
So fortunate to know these guys and see them play intimate clubs in LA and Silverlake. I watched them at the Troubadour standing next to Mike Mills and Peter Buck one night. They knew a good thing.
Am very jealous, just been chatting with my best friend and saying bands are better in small venues without people pulling out their mobile phone!
This song reminds me of watching music videos for hours on end in the early morning
Yeah me too. Laying in bed smoking cigarettes 3 am. Thinking I should get a job but can be bothered.
Isn't it sad how this used to make us experience absolute love and bliss and how hard it is to recreate those times today? What the hell happened?
Fave band of 90's.Gorgeous. taps into my dream state.
part haunting, part wonderment, part sad...awesome song
remember the first i heard that song and discover GLB. 26 years later still love their songs
This is my favorite Grant Lee Buffalo song. It is always in my playlist.
Once upon a Time, When Music Was Way Better
more than to day...
We hunger for a bit of faith to replace the fear.
Thanks for the tip, Noel. Sounds like several of his songs. Opening chords are similar to Some Might Say, certainly
This band is much more than oasis will ever be.

Masterpiece
This song is a true masterpiece and I do not use that word lightly. How it's only this popular is not only a crime, but a sin.
Cheers Noel for introducing this masterpiece to my life

It's a good venue, not that small? just normal really.
what a fking artist....really....
Deliquio. Totale. ❤
Michael Stipe famously loved this album. I don’t think it was the best album of 1993 but it was a damn fine album that I still listen too.
Anyone here to hear if this sounds similar to some might say?
Sure!! 😁

I follow him on Facebook and get to hear his voice, giving live at-home concerts, all the time!
Not as ethereally beautiful as Mazzy Star, but has a similar kind of evocative 90s tone...like it a lot...
