One of my favourite tool with Slides and Drawings is creating a Mask over pictures. It's hiding in a little arrow on the Cropping button. It adds a very cool effect and it's so simple to use.

Hey Joshua! FANTASTIC VIDEO! You really know how to present clearly, informatively and creatively. Every minute gave good, solid tips and techniques and now I want to try this Google Drive! Great....another program to learn. Heck, five isn't enough. 😱😆😆 I wish you made videos for those, I'd be laughing! Thanks for doing these for us. Your videos make using the tools a heck of a lot easier! 👍👏😊

Nice I like how design software tools have become almost universal across different platforms. The Microsoft Office suite reminds me of working in Adobe Illustrator. It's fun to step outside of Adobe every now and again

Hey Josh, I would like to see the back end of how you edit your videos. I like the two cameras and the video overlay.

Great work , I've tried giving this a go on my chrome book and have come up with a stack of issues which could be just me being a Biff!!!!. When I look at my tool bars you have way more options eg adding your txt box , to do this I have to go into insert drawings and add it and the picture is placed on the chequered transparency page which then resizes the picture so turning into a royal faff!!!. Any ideas where and if I'm going wrong

Make sure you set your page dimensions before adding any images or objects otherwise it will try to stretch anything on your canvas to the new page size. Also, if you don't see all the tool bar option it might be showing compact controls: control+shift+F
This is handy for giving yourself more screen real estate, but hides a lot of the menus.

Hi! When I print this, what kind of file should I download it as so that the image quality is not compromised? I have had problems with this in the past! Thanks Josh :)

Download it as a PDF. You can use cloudconvert.com to convert the PDF to a high resolution image if you need to.

Hey JP, I liked this video a lot! It helped me to get started from nothing. Thank you for that! One of the problems I ran into is, what do I do if I want to overlay two pictures? A regular picture and a logo specifically. I had the picture in the background. But when I add my logo to go above it, it obviously shows the white rectangular background behind the actual logo. How would I be able to get rid of that?

You will need a PNG file of the logo with a transparent background. I can help you create one, what operating system do you use?

Hi JP, that would be great! I'm using Windows 7! Thank you, I'm excited to be able to do this myself

On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides.
      Click File Page setup.
To pick a size, click the Down arrow . Standard (4:3) Widescreen (16:9) Widescreen (16:10) Custom: Below "Custom," enter a size and pick a unit of measurement (inches, centimeters, points, or pixels).
      Click OK.
