As a parent of a young adult these stories hit home because we raise our children up to go out into the world and be good people and to live their life and it just isn't right for someone to rob them of said things. I can only imagine the loss of their daughter has drastically changed their lives forever 😢 RIP Alicia 🤍🕊️

I don’t understand how life isn’t life. The average lifespan is somewhere around 70 yet this guy gets “life” at just 17 years. Murderers should never get out. If you take a life you should surrender yours.

hard to imagine a dumber person than this guy...how he ever thought he was superior to anyone with no job...living with his mom....no car...etc...and why she ever dated him at all is mind-numbing......no doubt he couldn't live with the idea she was leaving him for good....because he had nothing but that relationship...is what caused him to murder her...premeditatively too......only 17 years guarantied with no parol...is a crime in itself

@40:50 It's sad that this detective doesnt know that a suspect has zero requirements to "provide proof of innocence". At most you try to debunk states evidence but in the end the state has to prove guilt, not the other way around although prosecutors also seem to forget this basic fact a lot.

A girl was murdered in her home, two weeks after breaking up with her boyfriend. He shows up at the scene immediately after with a cockamamie "stalker" story! I wonder who did it?!🤔
And also, did this guy think his cover up was any good?! How dumb of him! The scariest part is that Alicia was convinced he did not have it in him to actually harm her...

This girl just did not understand how to date somehow someway she was easily controlled and didn't know how to find someone that was relatable a joy to be around and wouldn't control her she was an easily controlled person. This would have happened with anybody she dated. They don't state if she was the only child but somehow in this situation her parents must have babied her maybe had a lot of control over her something that put her unfortunately in a way that she did not understand what she was looking at or what she was experiencing with this man until it was too late you usually end up with what you are used to or what you do not completely understand because you haven't been around it then you're too ashamed or you're too used to it to get out of the situation in time unless you have the guts to say I will not live through this again or ever

This is my first time watching this show and I find the format somewhat off-putting. They spend too much time explaining the most basic of forensic techniques that viewers have likely seen, or read about, a thousand times before. There's no need to spend 5-10 minutes explaining fingerprints or blood evidence.
