The AI changes are really interesting. I wonder if this means you can do real Defense in Depth: weaken a part of your frontline, make the enemy concentrate their forces there, and then swoop in with another army and encircle them.
Correction at 5:25, Isn’t the year path for those research icons the same for the other electronic research? Because the 1940, ‘42, ‘44 and whatnot were always used for Nuclear & Rocket… a separate tab than the other electronic research where the forts are grouped with
Finally, after 8 years, we are getting AI that will hopefully try to use their tanks correctly. Took a damn long time. Sadly, the issue of AI production was not mentioned. I often tag switch around and I see the majors putting 50% of their industry on producing infantry equipment, saw something crazy like germany with 200 mills putting 100 on inf equipment; they do produce planes in sufficient numbers but put only a couple % of their mills on tanks. Also AI can't make good tank designs it seems like. So even in the late game, if the AI attacks you with their tanks for a few months, they get depleted and you see tank divs with 50% strenght that simple infantry units witout any AT can pierce. But they only keep spamming out 100s of inf divisions that don't have much of an offensive potential.
It seems like it might be easy to trap the AI into doing an offensive. Unless they actually use recon planes and see if the player has troops behind the lines.
The change to differenciate state and provinces are, at least for me, as I struggle to find everything there, a great QoL increase (although I think do you not mention them as such :P). And the AI changes feel great.
