Ewan really nailed everything about Aemond. He has become Aemond in the same way that Emilia Clarke became Daenerys and Kit Harington, Jon Snow. Amazing and impressive protrayal!! 🐲 And lets give props for his perfect "hmm" growls Aemond lets out. You know there is so much going on inside him you are not seeing in his actions.

I don't agree with Kit Harington being Jon Snow, if you know the canonical Jon from the book, you will know that the television and the book are two completely different characters, just like Albert Wesker from Resident Evil on Netflix and the video games, only the First the skin color was not changed but they did take away the magic and I say this in several ways.
@tomodachiotaku8004 I agree, if you go to the books. But, I think in the medium of the show and it's storyline, most people will always see Kit as Jon Snow. There's always big differences from canonical fantasy and Sci Fi once they are made into TV shows or Movies. Since George hasn't even finished A Song of Ice and Fire, I was probably willing to give a little leeway. But, if we all agreed on everything, the world would be a boring place, so I get where you're coming from. 😊
ewan has such a dreamy presence. he always seems so calm and grounded, and i love how soft-spoken he is. it’s fascinating to see someone so gentle play such an insidious and calculating character so flawlessly. this is my favorite interview with him so far, thanks to both of you for making it happen :)

I’m so glad to hear that! I think both him and I are pretty laid back as people and a lot of interviewers are always coming in with A LOT of energy (which is something I can envy at times), but in this case I think it was to my benifit that we didn’t rush anything or did some game or something like that - it’s all about him and his thoughts about the character 🥰🔥🙏🏻

man, as someone who is just a huge ball of anxiety all of the time I truly cannot imagine how Ewan can be so calm and collected. he really just commands the room, like even the interviewer seems a bit nervous (or perhaps excited, or something) but Ewan is just soo chill. it is captivating, really .
As people have said here before, HBO got a lot right by choosing Ewan to play Aemond! Ewan really understood the essence of the character, knows him very well, loves playing him and is very committed to the show.
Ewan has that quiet, reserved deep thinker energy, it's also very interesting that he loves 80s horror icons like Freddy and Pinhead, he seems very interested in the filmmaking craft. Also, what a voice, very calming if not unusual, just on a wavelength different to other people, he should narrate an audiobook.

I really hope the writing did this character justice this season as well. So hyped to see both Aemond's individual development as a character and his relationship with his family.
