Whatever your casting on needs to be as smooth and shiny as possible. You will need a high speed buffer with a wool buffing pad you will also need an orbital sander with 1200 grit wet dry sand paper. And lets not forget a good buffing compound.
You can't polish anything that's not covered by a clear gelcoat. You set up your molds for the size you want dont forget to add ¹/¹⁶" per foot for shrinkage. You spray your molds with gelcoat, and soon after it dries, you cast the marble. You can only polish the smooth side. If you want to make a solid surface, you will need a vacuum mixer.
