I returned home from outback alice springs 6 months ago, your camp fire on the ground surrounded by red dirt with a big old log burning over it gave me all of the feeeels
lol Your bottomless barrel is a compost bin!! I'd have kept the greenhouse/tunnel to toss a shade cloth over for growing tomatoes to protect them from the excessive Summer heat. I'm in Tennessee. It's been a scorcher of a week and the tomatoes benefit greatly from the shade cloth.
Oh my gosh your new home is going to be beautiful peace and quiet no traffic no neighbors to bother you😂 it was so funny watching the dog sniffing everywhere it's amazing the animals that were there before they knew it they can tell if it's a male or female but they had to mark their territory and that's how they do it thank you Clint for the video you're just going to all be one big happy family😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Bathtubs are great for growing spuds in. They stay in a big bed and can spread out of control. They are good water savers in drought if you plug the plugs in. because water stays in them and you don’t need to water as much.
Thank you for sharing. So satisfying when pruning trees to see the sun coming through. Do you use any of the wood for fires in the winter. Nice that Clint was able to share the dogs first day with you . Watching them settle in there new home with you ,we can understand the need of the fence 😅😅. Thank you for finding a new home for the cat I hope he's settled. I hope Clint found some gold on his trip out good tot have a break. And look forward to seeing what you found on the beach last week. Once again thank you from round the world in west Sussex England stay safe good luck.
The sticks are too thin and leafy for fire wood, Clint has been collecting thicker branches with the trailer to get warm. We might see some footage of him going detecting for gold soon, unfortunately I wasn't lucky during my beach detect but I won't give up yet 👍🏻
Be careful, trimming that palm tree. That looks like a few tons of dead fronds. Here in Arizona, we will have a tree trimmer crushed or smothered to death every few years or so. Good luck at the new place.
I'm happy for you guys .Lots of work ahead but it will be worth it. I have been looking forward to seeing you guys again. Take care and have fun making your new home. Bill
Good luck guys!! I am in dream mode at the moment and just heavily saving to be able to do what you guys do!! I'm Australian so good luck with living in the heat and so forth!!
Another tip, get some Dolomite to spread under the olives, you may want to plant some different varieties. If you have friends in Canberra, ask them to send you some Cork Oak acorns. Use “Blood & Bone” in alternate to the Dolomite. Never forget that Date Palms thrive in most of WA. I’ve a sneaking hunch that Pecan Nut trees would do well, if you have water.
It does seem like a never ending job, I know the feeling, but each job done is one less to do, but I cant wait to see the end of it, and get back to a regular life, and to actually have the time and energy to get back out detecting, It seems the dogs have given there approval to the new digs, and will be digging a few holes of there own! Hope your travelling well, Cheers Krissy!
What a huge effort and once again congrats to you both. Yes great satisfaction in gardening, great for getting rid of any tensions and stress too remember that hahaha. I hope it all goes well for you. stay safe
Everything is looking fantastic! The doggos really seem to love their new place lol… I will miss the kitty though 🥲 I hope it is happy wherever it lives now. Cheers!
Krissy and Clint bloody awesome going on homestead both worked ya arse's off the end result will be great for you both and dog's Krissy looked like you going more than the speed limit sign off 50 hr around that olive tree speedy shiela Hahaa
Love the results in the olive tree, beautiful and if you can keep the cockies away you may get some olives yum!! And lime delicious .. well done lovely to see a sister doing it hard but enjoy good hard work well done
Looking good at the homestead now it's all cleaned up what an epic task guys but well done looking forward to more adventures and to see who will find the biggest and most nuggets lol see you both next weekend I guess and stay safe.
WOW Krissy, what a nice video to put on display for us your viewers.!!!👍 I'm glad that you are dialoguing all of these many efforts & events too. Love bjb B-Strong, B n Christ.
The trees will be healthier for the pruning! Good job you! Woman of many talents. Can't wait for you guys to settle and start swinging your detectors again! Good luck ! I'd have kept the cat and rehomed the dogs.
I know! Dogs are part of the family for sure...I miss my darling Pug every day and Bill's been gone 4 years now. I just wish that poor tarbaby could have stayed ! I'm sure Clint found her a good home. Best wishes on finding the place all ready for you on your return!
Hi Krissy, King of the lone nugget patch here, you will make things a lot easier for yourself if you purchase a ,6 or 7inch ,one hand held battery mini chainsaw. They are awesome , usually come with 2 batteries and are only about $80 Barry M.
I grew up on 500 square miles in the SA outback. I am going to be following your channel. Loved the dogs sniffing and checking things out around their new home.
You'll need the limes and olives for cocktails at the bar 😆 🤣
Great idea 😁
Awesome Krissy, you guys are getting through it. Helps to have a handy bloke like Clint around👌
He's not only handy but also keen to be active all day. You guys should come for a visit next time you're in WA 👍🏻
Nice to see Krissy has found a nice guy and working hard to move into the homestead she is a hard worker and nice person
I returned home from outback alice springs 6 months ago, your camp fire on the ground surrounded by red dirt with a big old log burning over it gave me all of the feeeels
The dogs were hilarious and they looked very happy and settled right in
I'm sure the dogs prefer the new house, they learned quickly what a couch is 😂
lol Your bottomless barrel is a compost bin!! I'd have kept the greenhouse/tunnel to toss a shade cloth over for growing tomatoes to protect them from the excessive Summer heat. I'm in Tennessee. It's been a scorcher of a week and the tomatoes benefit greatly from the shade cloth.
We still have two more big greenhouses with shade cloths there. More space than plants we could handle 👍🏻
Makes me so happy to see a fellow west Aussie showing our beautiful countryside and his skill on doing work! On ya Clint!

Quiet and peaceful, just how we love it! With the dogs around we don't need a TV, they're our entertainment 😂
It’s a massive undertaking for you all! Moving to a gold bearing area is the dream so I hope you guys strike it rich in your own backyard!
It's so exciting watching all the changes and the dogs were so funny running around together checking it all out, looks fantastic.
I agree, it's satisfying to see a progress around the house. The dogs crack me up constantly, they're good entertainment 😁
What a great project. So happy for you Krissy and Clint.
Bathtubs are great for growing spuds in. They stay in a big bed and can spread out of control.
They are good water savers in drought if you plug the plugs in. because water stays in them and you don’t need to water as much.
We’ve kept the bathtubs in the back for now, good idea to grow spuds in them 👍🏻
Great to see you settling in to the new digs. Hope the gold gods find you soon.
Thats great, do another channel on homesteading. cheers
making his own ramp for the back hoe was hillarious. the man has needed to do that before for sure! congrats on the new place!!
Good job on the Olive tree that's what we call lifting the drip line of the canopy

Kris’s, small tip, use safety glasses when pruning, they only have to work once to be worthwhile
That’s true, thanks for the reminder 👍🏻
Take a chain saw to the lower branches of the olive tree. They are a tough invasive species.
3 crosses huh lol!
Another great post, great work

you will make things a lot easier for yourself if you purchase a ,6 or 7inch ,one hand held battery mini chainsaw.
They are awesome , usually come with 2 batteries and are only about $80
