- In this video I continue my journey into the Kawai K4r. The ordered EPROM update version 1.4 arrived and I am going to install it.
After that I have a look at how to run an old 16bit Windows editor & librarian for the Kawai K4 on Windows 11.

Any chance of creating an extension for the AKAI MIDImix? Desperately need one.
Check out Generic Flexi. Should do the job.
@@mossgraber No it doesn't. Tried it. I can map things of course but there are no lights, and basic solo, mute is unresponsive and doesn't work. If you ever get to making an extension for it, that would be super.
thanks, but does that editor it allow for editing sounds, lfo's vda's effects etc per patch? realtime sysex control? Asking as I'm considering buying k4 but I have to say I'm a bit tired of synths that dont allow for any realtime control. Like my x5d, nice presets and sound overall but hmm
I didn't check the editor side of these applications. If you want to see realtime editing, watch the previous video where I control the K4r via the Electra One controller.
@@mossgraber yeah thanks, would love to have something like that template but I dont own Electra One. Any chance of porting that file to native instruments kore2 controller? Can you point me to that template file?
@@krzysztofwaclawski9002 I think you need to create an Account on the Electra One site but the K4 Sysex spec is also in the manual.
